11 Multi-disciplinary Studies Endorsement: Four credits in each of the four foundation subject areas to include English IV, Chemistry &/or Physics A variety of advanced courses from multiple content areas including AP and dual credit Can include courses from the curriculum of each endorsement area

12 Students entering 9 th grade in 2014, & thereafter must indicate their endorsement in writing. Students may choose to change their endorsement area by completing the "Endorsement Change Request" form with student and parent signature. This form can be requested from the counselor.

13 9 th Graders will take the following STAAR End of Course Exams during Spring 2017: Algebra I (If Enrolled) Biology ELA I 10 th -11th graders will take the following STAAR End of Course Exams during the Spring 2017: - ELA 2 - US History (If Enrolled)

14 Awarded on diploma and transcript May be earned by Dual credit Bilingualism and Biliteracy Outstanding performance on AP exams Outstanding performance on PSAT, ACT- PLAN, SAT or ACT Earning a nationally or internationally recognized business or industry certification or license

15 Students develop and update their 4 year plans and selection of endorsement Students are encouraged to take courses that are most interesting to each individual student Students are encouraged to take courses that support their post-secondary/career readiness Create a seamless transition between high school and post-secondary/career opportunities

16 It is essential that each student explore the colleges they are interested in applying to. Understanding the entrance requirements for admission to specific colleges will help with course selection while in high school.

17 Class Rank is based on the cumulative grade point average for grades A student s GPA is derived by dividing the total number of grade points by the number of semester courses attempted. 20 A two-course sequence that provides students with the critical thinking and research skills needed to succeed in college and stand-out in the admission process AP Capstone Diploma Students who earn scores of 3 or higher on the AP Seminar and AP Research Exams and on four additional AP Exams of their choosing will receive the AP Capstone Diploma. AP Research & Seminar Certificate Students who earn scores of 3 or higher on the AP Seminar and AP Research Exams only will receive the AP Seminar and Research Certificate
