3 INTRODUCTION YORK Ducted Direct Drive Fan Coil Air Conditioners are designed to fulfill the air conditioning requirements of today s living. These requirements include dependable trouble-free operation where units will be installed above ceilings and hallways and in closets; compact space-saving design to allow more valuable living space; and the quiet performance affordable by a centrally-located unit that is ducted to individual rooms. Although primarily intended for apartment markets, these versatile units can also be used in low static pressure applications where ducted units are needed. Design for service/maintenance is practiced where coil surface is exposed for easy cleaning and the fan motor assembly could be easily removed for service. Easy removal of filters is kept. 4 GUIDE SPECIFICATION General Furnish and install YORK Ducted Model Fan Coil air conditioners as indicated and scheduled on the plans. Basic Unit And Cabinet The basic unit shall be fabricated of GI sheet to JIS G All cabinet units shall be acoustically and thermally insulated with polyethylene foam insulation. Coil Coils shall be a minimum of three rows and have 3/8 inch OD copper tubes with aluminium fins mechanically bonded to the tubes. All coils shall be fitted with access valve. Coils should be factory leak-tested at 350 psig and suitable for working pressure to 250 psig. Capacity rating is ensured in accordance to ARI 410. Motor High Performance motor shall be 3 speeds, permanent split capacitor type, with UL listed thermal overload protection. Motor bearings shall be of ball bearing type. Fan Fan shall be of the centrifugal, forward-curved type. Fan wheels shall be statically and dynamically balanced. Fan wheels and housings shall be galvanized steel. Unit sizes shall have one motor and one fan. Unit sizes shall have two motors and two fans. Drain Pan All models shall have drain pans with oven baked polyester powder coat, exterior surface insulated with polyethylene foam. The drain connection shall be 1 inch OD steel pipe. Condensate pans shall be not less than 1 inch deep and shall extend completely under the coil and return bends. Filters Washable Synthetic Fiber filters. 4
