Our circuit is located near the ski resort of Salen in Sweden, just 10km from the Norwegian border at an altitude of 900m. As a result, the lake stays much colder than many other areas and is perfect for your rally driving experience! Our ice driving package offers the ultimate rally experience for drivers of all abilities and you'll learn more about car control in one day on real snow and ice than you would in days on a skidpan or advanced driving course. 3 Tour Itinerary Please note: All routings and excursions are purely our suggestion, it is entirely your choice as to whether or not you follow our suggested routings and excursions, albeit on the day we have indicated, or at all! (included excursions are ice driving, meals and snowmobile rally) DAY 1 - Fly from London Heathrow* to Oslo. Upon landing proceed to the specified car hire depot and pick up your hire car. Prepare for an amazing drive through the forests, hills & valleys of Snow covered Norway and into Sweden. Upon arrival and check in at the Hotel relax and unwind whilst you enjoy dinner at one of the hotels critically acclaimed restaurants. You will also have the option to enjoy a beverage or two at any one of the hotels bars. (approximately 168 miles driving) DAY 2 - Rise and shine to a warm hearty breakfast as you take in energy for your 1st day of Ice Driving! Enjoy a short 25 minute drive down the mountain towards the lake where you will spend the day. The lake is still a whopping 2950 feet above sea level; this higher altitude insures the cooler temperatures required to drive on the frozen lake. You will start both days with a short briefing in the classroom held in the classroom beside the lake. Theory coaching and discussions are held here which you may find beneficial to learning the techniques. You will be on the ice, un-interrupted from approximately 9:30am until 3-4 pm (light permitting). Light snacks are included at the lake; but we advise you to take your own nourishment. In the evening drive back to the hotel and enjoy another meal in the hotel s restaurant and if you desire an evening in the bar. (approximately 46 miles) DAY 3 - Rise and shine to another warm hearty breakfast as you prepare for your 2nd day of Ice Driving! Once you reach the lake enjoy another day on the ice. This day will be the highlight of your holiday as you would have mastered the necessary techniques and will drifting round the corners like a pro. In the evening back at the hotel enjoy another fantastic dinner. (approximately 46 miles) DAY 4 Enjoy your final breakfast at the hotel followed by your morning snowmobile rally through the Swedish vistas. In the early afternoon depart for another stunning drive back to Oslo Airport for your return flight home to England. (approximately 168 miles driving) Salens Högfjällshotell A Ski Resort with 56 slopes is at the doorstep of this Sälen hotel. It includes quality dining, the Pulse Wellness Centre and free entrance to the on-site nightclub. With modern, cosy guest rooms and fully equipped guests can also enjoy a daily breakfast buffet. Other options include sushi at the Sea Food Bar and after-dinner drinks in front of the fire at Piano Bar. Guests can also enjoy various treatments at the Puls Wellness Centre, which also offers a sauna and gym.
