2 Jb descriptin Jb title: ivisin: Management Accuntant Finance, Prcurement and Facilities ivisin ate: August 2015 Reprting t: Main cntacts: Senir Management Accuntant Internal: Key budget hlders and the wider Finance team xternal: xternal cnsultants, pensin Trustees Majr bjectives T cntribute t the achievement f AAT s business plan bjectives and the efficiency and effectiveness f the rganisatin by: delivering timely, accurate and relevant mnthly management accunts t key AAT budget hlders and supprting the key budget hlders in managing the finances f their areas f AAT business, including the financial planning prcesses f the Annual Budget and the current year re-frecasts etc. assisting the Senir Management Accuntant in ensuring a high level f management accunting service fr AAT business. Respnsibilities Prduce timely, accurate, and relevant mnthly management accunts (including cmmentary) fr key departments within AAT and AAT s trading subsidiary, the Accunting Technician (Services) Limited (ATSL) within agreed timescales (as set as part f the appraisal bjectives) Assist in the prductin f the mnthly management accunts pack fr AAT and ATSL within agreed timescales (as set as part f the appraisal bjectives) Liaise with budget hlders n a mnthly basis t understand key variances against budget and frecasts. ffectively handle all queries frm key budget hlders, and practively help the key budget hlders t manage the finances f their areas f AAT business. Assist the Senir Management Accuntant in the prductin f budgets and revised frecasts fr AAT and ATSL. Manage the accunting recrds fr the AAT s Retirement Benefit scheme by: nsuring accunts and supprting schedules are prepared and sent t the Scheme s Secretary ahead f the Trustee meetings Being the main pint f cntact fr the year end audit Preparing the pensin scheme year end accunts Assist in the prductin f statutry accunts fr the AAT and its subsidiaries Assist the Financial Cntrller and Senir Management Accuntant in ensuring that adequate cntrl framewrks are in place t reduce, and where pssible, eliminate any financial risks t which AAT and its subsidiaries are expsed, and t cntribute t the mnitring f financial risks within the AAT s risk register.
3 Assist the Financial Cntrller and Senir Management Accuntant in imprving internal cntrls within the finance functin Custmer centricity evelp friendly, psitive and supprtive relatinships with external and internal custmers, and t prvide them with excellent service. Actively t learn frm custmer feedback, cmments and suggestins, including cmplaints, t review and imprve existing prcesses, and by ding s t anticipate ther custmers needs. T cmmunicate this knwledge t relevant clleagues. Meet and exceed teams custmer service standards. Understand situatins frm the custmers perspective s that apprpriate and relevant slutins can be identified. Crprate scial respnsibility Apply the principles f the CSR plicy in yur daily rle, particularly reduce-reuse-recycle.
