Then, read the passage from your Bible, ponder the reflection and application questions and end your time with a brief prayer, also (Again, you can use the suggested prayer if you wish). That's all it takes, so when you're ready, begin your journey to Bethlehem and meet the newborn King! How could he be even more so? Pray: Lord Jesus, be all to me that You want to be. I gladly open my heart and mind to You. Day 2: His Peace Foretold Read: Isaiah 11:1-10 Pray: Heavenly Father, I marvel again at Your greatness and goodness in sending us Your son, Jesus. Day 4: His Birthplace Foretold Read: Micah 5:2-5 Pray: Lord God, teach me by Your Holy Spirit what You want me to learn from Your Word today. Reflect: Where does the prophet say the promised ruler will be born? Apply: What does it mean to you to know Jesus' birth was planned and foretold by God long in advance? How might it affect your life today? Pray: Show me Your plan for me, Lord, at least for today, so that I may know it and follow it. Day 5: His Kingship Foretold Read: Zechariah 9: 9-13 Pray: Lord Jesus, continue to help me get to know You better each day. Keep surprising me with Your love and power.
