Conference Staff will be taking photographs during sessions. Anyone not wishing to have their photographs taken should make themselves known to a member of the Centre staff at Registration. 2. Delegates should ensure that they wear conference badges at all times.

2 TRAVEL TO LIVERPOOL HOPE UNIVERSITY By Car The Hope Park campus is situated in the Childwall district of Liverpool close to the terminal junction of the M62 and A5058 ring road. Detailed instructions can be found at: Visitor parking There is ample parking close to the conference accommodation and venue. By Rail The Merseyrail network links Liverpool to Wirral, Cheshire and Lancashire and Liverpool Lime Street Station is a major terminus for the Virgin West coast and First TransPennine Express rail networks. The Northern and Central Trains rail networks also provide important links. Frequent trains take just over two hours to travel between Liverpool and London Euston. By Taxi There are a number of taxi firms that operate in the Liverpool area. Below are a list of local taxi company telephone numbers, the fare is approximately 10 from Lime Street Station and 7.00 from Liverpool Airport. Merseyside Radio Meter Cabs: , Garston/Allerton Cabs: By Air Liverpool John Lennon Airport is about four miles from Hope Park and Manchester Airport is under an hour away by road or rail. Liverpool John Lennon Airport Manchester Airport Buses to and from Hope Park From Liverpool city centre: Buses run regularly to Hope Park from Liverpool city centre. You can take numbers 74 and 75 (from Great Charlotte Street) about five minutes walk from both Lime Street and Central Station. Bus number 78 runs from Queens Square and the 86C runs from Elliot Street. The 61 and 61A bus services come past the University on their way to Aigburth and the 81 and 81A go to Speke and Liverpool Airport respectively. For more details of buses and local transport see

3 ON ARRIVAL AT CAMPUS On arrival at Hope Park, report to the Main Lodge, Taggart Avenue (Number 14 on the Hope Park Campus map) for key collection. The accommodation and the conference venue are a short walk apart. MEALS ON CAMPUS There will not be any refreshments available on campus on Monday 27 th August but there are local pubs and restaurant locally, see below for a list. Would it be possible to stay on in Liverpool after the Conference A: You are more than welcome to spend a few extra days in Liverpool to explore this interesting city. You will, however, have to cover your own expenses and any additional travel costs you incur by making your stay longer. Q. Would it be possible to arrive early or stay additional days after the conference? A: Accommodation is available between the 7 th -14 th September 2008 and for these additional days you would be expected to cover your own expenses. Q. What if I have accessibility or additional requirements? A: If you have not already done so, please notify us well before the conference date if you have any additional requirements e.g. wheelchair access, large prints, allergies, dietary requirements.
