2 Better Banking Starts With Five Easy Steps Make the switch to First Financial Bank. Start by opening an account with us. Whether it s a checking account, a savings account or both, our Account Application form makes it easy. Locate the Account Application form within the switch kit and fill in your information. Then, bring in the completed form to your local First Financial Bank, along with a picture ID, and we ll take care of the rest. Stop using your old accounts. Let your checks clear plain and simple. This may take up to 30 days, so getting a head start will pay off later. This would also be a good time to destroy any unused checks and deposit slips (shredding them is best). You won t actually close your old account until later. Switch your direct deposits to First Financial Bank. To set up your direct deposits with us, complete our Direct Deposit Change Form in our switch kit. Once it s completed, use this form to send written notices to everyone who automatically deposits money into your accounts (for example, the company handling your paychecks). You will need to include a deposit slip or a voided check from your new account with each Direct Deposit Change Form. Switch your automatic withdrawals/payments to First Financial Bank. To set up your automatic withdrawals or automated payment services, complete the Automatic Withdrawal Change Form in our switch kit. Once it s completed, use this form to send written notices to anyone who automatically takes payments from your accounts. Don t forget about automatic payments made online. You ll want to be sure that there are enough funds in your old account to cover any remaining automatic payments. You will also want to sign up for our free Online Banking and Bill Pay. Locate and complete our Online Bill Pay Checklist, and we can help you enter all of your online payments into our system. Close your old accounts. The last step in making the switch to First Financial Bank is to close all of your old accounts. You should do this only after all of your withdrawals and checks have cleared.
