1 September 2014 Dear Parents, The Grant School PTO would like to extend a warm welcome to all of the new and returning families of Grant School. As we kick off the new school year, we are once again asking you to join the PTO. Who can be a member? All parents and caregivers, along with school faculty, can join the PTO. Each family membership is only $15 per school year. Membership does not obligate you to volunteer. Simply by providing your membership fee, you will be contributing to our success. What does the PTO do? The mission of the PTO is to provide our school with supplemental funds, programs and resources to enrich the education of every student. To do this, we count on your membership fees and your support of the various PTO fundraisers throughout the year. Last year, the PTO raised over $16,000, all of which was put right back into the school. Cultural programs, assemblies, educational materials, classroom equipment, and fi eld trips are just a fraction of what the PTO was able to provide. Why should you get involved? Participation in the PTO is a great opportunity for you to get to know the teachers, other parents, and to be an active part of your child s Grant School experience. The PTO does a lot with relatively little, and to maintain all of our programs we need your help. We ask that you join the PTO, which only requires that you pay the $15 annual membership fee, and that you also consider becoming an active member. Membership Forms and Committee Sign Up sheets are attached. You will see that there are many ways for everyone to volunteer their time and talents. Please complete the forms and return them to the school. When is the first meeting? We invite you to join us for our fi rst meeting on Monday, September 15 th at 7:30 PM in the All Purpose Room. We look forward to meeting you. Once again, welcome (back) to Grant School for another successful school year. Sincerely, The Grant PTO Executive Board: Jamie Ketas & Janice Worner, Co-Presidents Hanh Quach, 1 st Vice President Cheryl McDonnell, 2 nd Vice President Tom Ketas, Treasurer Christine Marti, Recording Secretary Laura Keating, Corresponding Secretary

2 PTO Membership Form Yearly membership to the PTO is only $15 per family. You are not required to volunteer by becoming a member. All membership dues go back to Grant students and teachers 100%!
