2 2. Warnock Hersey/Intertek. 3. QAI Laboratories F. ALL MDF shall be double refined material and have a minimum 48 pound density. 1.3 SUBMITTALS A. Shop drawings: Indicate location, size, and hand of each door, identifying symbols, fire ratings, clearances, elevation of each kind of door; details of construction, and other necessary data. 1. Factory-Machined Doors: Templates required for lockset cut-outs, hinge cutouts, and any other hardware or prep necessary. Customer may be asked to supply actual hardware samples. B. Product Data: For each type of door. Include details of core and patented construction. Include factory-finishing specifications and the following: 1. Detailed specifications for construction and fabrication. 2. Specifications and Installation Instructions 3. Finishing Instructions for field-finished doors. 4. Recommendation for care and maintenance of doors. C. LEED Submit appropriate documentation to support LEED credits required. STANDARD MR4.1 and 4.2: Interior MDF doors to contain a minimum of 86% recycled content as certified by Scientific Certification Systems (SCS) or other independent certification body. OPTIONAL MR 7.0: Forest Stewardship Council FSC Material Independently verified through third party certification body and current certificate must be available and submitted with project documents. (FSC-C015231) EQ 4.4: No Added Urea Formaldehyde Material DELIVERY, PROJECT CONDITIONS, STORAGE, AND HANDLING A. Comply with requirements of referenced standard and manufacturers written instructions 1. Delivery: Do not deliver doors to building until it is entirely enclosed, drywall, HVAC, plaster and concrete work is completed and dry and humidity in the building has reached average relative humidity at occupancy levels.

3 1.6 WARRANTY 2. Handling: Do not drag doors across one another or 'walk' a door on its corners 3. Storage: Stack doors flat and off floor on a level surface in a dry, well ventilated area. Do not stand on end. Keep doors covered while allowing air circulation. 4. Protection: Do not subject doors to abnormal heat, dryness, humidity or drastic changes in these conditions. Allow sufficient time for doors to acclimate to average existing conditions of the area before installation. 5. Doors require light sanding before being painted. A. General Warranty: Supa Doors are warranted for interior use only. Contact manufacturer for full warranty coverage details and updates. PART 2 - PRODUCTS 1. Interior MDF Doors: Limited Lifetime. 2.1 MANUFACTURERS A. Available Manufacturers: Subject to compliance with requirements, manufacturers offering Stile and Rail, continuously laminated, MDF doors may be incorporated into the Work. All doors must be sourced from one single manufacturer with at least 20 years experience constructing MDF doors. Routed doors are not acceptable. 1. SUPA Doors B. Substitutions: Substitutions allowed only upon review and approval by architect. 2.2 DOOR TYPES A. MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) Doors: Available in 1-3/8 inches and 1-3/4 inches thick, stile and rail, continuously laminated construction, sizes as noted on Door Schedule with panel/sticking/molding design as specified by Interior Designer/Owner. Doors to have a hardwood keyed woodedge down the full length of each stile. Exposed woodedges that are not interlocking into door edge are not acceptable. B. Core Materials 1. Non-rated Core: Medium Density Fiberboard 2. Fire Rated Core (20 Minute):; Medium Density Fiberboard (see door schedule for locations). 3. Fire rated Stile and Rail using intumescent core with Warnock Hersey Label (45, 60, 90 Minutes) 4. All core materials should make door achieve STC 32 or greater to minimize sound transmission on this project (applicable to 1-3/4 doors or thicker).

4 C. Panels: Detail as shown on architectural plans. 1. Panels shall NOT be quoted or supplied with less than the following thicknesses. For 1-3/4 thick doors: For 1-3/8 thick doors: 5/8 Flat panel and 1-1/4 raised panels 1/4 Flat panel and 7/8 raised panel 2. Gaps between panel and sticking or molding profiles are not acceptable. All gaps must be filled before shipping. D. Pocket Doors: 1 3/8 inches thick and 1 3/4 inches thick, MDF construction, sizes as noted on Door Schedule with panel/molding design as selected by Interior Designer/Owner. 1. MDF Pocket/Slider doors are to be ordered with top woodeges in addition to the side keyed or concealed woodedges. D. MDF Louvers: Manufacturers Standard solid MDF, Stile and Rail, louvers with individual 2-1/4 slats (1-3/8" & 1-3/4" thick doors). Less than 2-1/4 true louver blades are not to be used. E. MDF False Louver: Manufacturers standard solid MDF, Stile and Rail, louvers with false louver slats (1 3/8 & 1-3/4 thick doors). Louver slats face down in both directions with a minimum 1-9/16 louver face. F. Glass Doors: Any glass included in the doors must be tempered or laminated glass. Doors shall be quoted and manufactured in TRUE DIVIDED LITE construction unless noted otherwise. 2.3 ACCESSORIES Wood Jambs: When applicable wood jambs may be requested to be supplied by manufacturer in knocked down or prehung units. Wood jambs should be stapled AND screwed together for additional durability due to the solid weight of the doors. 2.4 FABRICATION A. Fabricate Non-Rated Doors in compliance with NWWDA. B. Fabricate Fire Rated Doors in compliance with NWWDA and Warnock Hersey/UL/QAI requirements. Attach Fire-Rating Label to door-edge for rating to be acknowledged. C. Factory pre-fit and bevel doors. Pre fit fire-rated doors in accordance with NFPA 80. D. Optional Factory pre-machine doors for hardware that is not surface-applied (machining normally required on all fire doors unless dealer is licensed through Intertek). Templates are required 2.5 FINISHING A. Factory-prime doors in compliance with AWI Quality Standard Section Priming

5 should be with a low VOC water based primer. Minimum two coats are required. Request finishing instructions from manufacturer before painting doors. Finish doors on all six sides to maintain warranty. PART 3-EXECUTION 3.1 EXAMINATION A. Examine doors and install door frames before hanging doors. Confirm that frames comply with type, size, location and swing requirements and are installed plumb and square. B. Inspect doors for damage, manufacturing defects or pre-finish inconsistency. C. Proceed with installation only after unsatisfactory conditions have been corrected. 3.2 PREPARATION A. Prefit doors to frames and machine for hardware to whatever extent not previously worked at factory as required for proper fit and uniform clearance at each edge. 3.3 INSTALLATION A. Install door in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations. B. Installation of doors should be done by skilled installer who has read the manufacturers warranty coverage. Do not over tighten hinge screws, and see manufacturer's recommendations for installation of hinges. Doors may be applied with auto body filler and sanded if lines appear near hinges. 3.4 ADJUSTING AND PROTECTING A. Adjust doors as required and leave in proper operating condition. B. Inform General Contractor of proper procedures required to protect installed doors from damages or deterioration until acceptance of entire project. C. Repair any scratches and/or gouges with auto body filler and sand with sandpaper for smooth finish. This will not affect the warranty of the doors.
