Lasting memories Europe Prague I thought the inclusion of cultural activities and guest speakers was very instrumental. I felt like this really helped me learn the underlying subtleties of doing business in Europe that you don t get from learning it on paper. Asia Beijing One of my most cherished memories from the program was during the class trip to Beijing, China. As I celebrated my birthday, classmates sang to me in 15 different languages. It was truly an amazing and unforgettable experience. 11 Faculty Briefs Dr. Christine Pearson, Thunderbird Professor of Management Dr. Pearson is an expert in organizational crisis management, leadership and personal dynamics. A business professional with more than 20 years experience and faculty appointments in Europe, Asia and South America, Dr. Pearson is highly sought after for her expertise by both the academic and business sectors. She has assisted companies and organizations including ExxonMobil, PepsiCo, Dow Chemical, Clorox, Transamerica, Kraft Foods, BellSouth (now part of AT&T Inc.), Nortel Networks and the Red Cross. Pearson has published four books on crisis management that have been translated into Arabic, Korean, Polish and Spanish. She earned a Ph.D. from the University of Southern California, an M.S. degree from California State University and a B.A. from City University of New York. Dr. Ashok K. Soni, Kelley School of Business Professor of Decision Sciences Dr. Soni led the team responsible for creating the IU Kelley School of Business first electronic classroom and currently serves as the chairperson of Operations & Decision Technologies. A leading researcher in the use of technology in business decision making, enterprise applications, e-business and emerging technologies, his research is widely published in journals such as the European Journal of Operational Research and the Production & Inventory Management Journal.
