Elements and Performance Criteria element 1 Take a grab sample from a bale of wool. 1.1 The number and aggregate weight of samples taken per sale lot is in accordance with the Code of Practice. 1.2 Samples are obtained before weighing and core sampling of the bale. 1.3 The grab jaws are inserted and withdrawn from a slit in the bale in accordance with the Code of Practice. 1.4 The weight of the grab sample taken is within the tolerance prescribed in the Code of Practice. 1.5 Bagging, storage, and documentation of the individual samples comply with the Code of Practice.
