5 Tips For the best sound, we recommend connecting the Apple ipod to an audio receiver or sound system. To hear music with the slideshow, you must connect an audio cable to the Line Out port on the ipod Dock and to an audio input port on the projector or external sound system. provides the best video quality for the Apple ipod. ou cannot connect the ipod to an InFocus projector through USB or Firewire. 6 Common Issues SMPTOMS: no sound is from the ipod during my slideshow Possible Solutions: Make sure the Hold switch is off. If you re using the ipod Remote, make sure the remote s Hold switch is off. Make sure the audio connections are securely seated. Make sure the volume is adjusted properly. If that doesn t work, push the Play/Pause button. our ipod may be paused. Make sure you have the latest version of itunes. SMPTOMS: static, noise, or video artifacts in video image Solution: Usually you can eliminate a lot of video defects by using high quality cable in as short a length as possible. For the best results, we recommend using with the projector. Try to keep cable length to less than 10 feet. If the setup requires a longer cable, make sure to use the thicker, well-shielded cables. SMPTOMS: no photos seen on the projector Possible Solutions: Make sure your projector is set to display images from the correct input source Make sure all cables are connected correctly If you are using the ipod AV Cable, be sure the yellow end is connected to the video port on your television. Use Apple certified cables made specifically for the Apple ipods. Other similar cables will not work. On the ipod, go to Photos > Slideshow Settings and set TV Out to On, then try again. On the ipod, go to Photos > Slideshow Settings and set TV signal to PAL or NTSC depending on your projector settings and region. SMPTOMS: image is not perfectly rectangular (keystoning) Solution: When a projected image is wider at the top or the bottom (horizontal keystoning), or taller on the right or left side (vertical keystoning), the projector is not perpendicular to the screen, either in the vertical plane or the horizontal plane. If the sides are angled, then you need to raise or lower the front of the projector. Also, most projectors have digital vertical keystone correction that you can adjust in the projector menu. If the top and bottom of the image are angled, then you need to rotate the projector left or right until the image is rectangular. Most projectors do not have digital horizontal keystone correction. SMPTOMS: image proportion is incorrect (i.e. people appear too tall or too short) Solution: The aspect ratio is set incorrectly on the projector and/or the DVD player. Make sure the projector and DVD player aspect ratio are the same. In the projector menu, you can adjust the aspect ratio. In the DVD player menu, you can adjust the aspect ratio. SMPTOMS: sound is too soft from projector speakers Solution: We recommend connecting the DVD audio to a home theater audio receiver or amplifier to receive a more robust and quality audio experience. The speakers on the projector are meant for very small spaces.. 6
