7 We strongly suggest that you set aside a full morning or afternoon ensuring that shopping for a wedding outfit is relaxed, fun, and most of all successful! Our West End boutique is one of the busiest in Scotland so here are a few things to remember to create a shopping experience that s as stress free as possible. While it is not necessary to make an appointment, we do recommend making one. On a Saturday we offer an appointment system from 9.00am to 10.00am and on a Sunday up to 12.00pm only. If you prefer a more relaxed atmosphere we recommend that you visit us Monday- Friday 9.30am-5.30pm if possible. THE TRUTH ABOUT PRICING We have decades of experience in helping you find the outfit which is perfect for you at a price you can afford. That s why we always discreetly ask if you have a budget, it helps us make the best selection of outfits for you. I would like to reassure you that Catherine s has outfits to suit all budgets. We understand that not everyone has unlimited funds, so we cater for many different customers with different amounts to spend. Prices range from 200 to 500, 500 to 800 and 800 upwards. We also have a number of sales throughout the year. It is always a good idea to check out what lines in our fabulous ranges are reduced in price. Our sales give you the designer look for a fraction of the price!

8 STYLE MATTERS Try not to focus too much on Colours when deciding on your Mother of the Bride outfit, style is much more important! The style will be what makes you feel amazing and relaxed on the day, so bear this in mind. Our experienced staff are here to advise you on the best outfits to suit your shape. Having said that, the Mother of the Bride and Grooms outfits should complement the overall colour scheme of the wedding, complementing the bridal party. JEWELLERY The jewellery you decide to wear should also complement your outfit; this is something we can pull together for you, as we have selected our jewellery to complement our outfits. In most instances, you can get your full Mother of the Bride outfit and all your accessories in just one visit to the store. ALTERATIONS Certain designers and styles can vary considerably in size so don t be put off by this. That s why here at Catherine s of Partick we pride ourselves on ensuring that the process of choosing your wedding outfit is as stress free as possible and that includes the possibility that you may need alterations. The fitters in our Glasgow boutique work in-house. If your outfit needs altered, you don t have the stress of worrying where to go, we ll take care of it for you. Just because you purchased your wedding outfit at Catherine s of Partick doesn t mean you have to use our alterations service. All we will say is our experienced fitters know our garments and know how best to fit them as they are used to working with these styles A few important points about alterations: There is a charge for alterations and price is dependent on what is required It s best if you are fitted within 2 weeks of the purchase of your outfit to ensure its completion well before your occasion Your fitting can take place anytime Monday to Friday from pm Always ensure you have the correct undergarments and shoes with you when having your initial and further fittings to ensure the correct fit Collections are Monday to Friday and we strongly advise you to try on the outfit when you collect it Our fitters don t work weekends, so if this is the only time you can collect and you need a further alteration, it will mean another trip for you on a week day. This is especially important to note if you need a further fitting to ensure the perfect fit. T

11 HEADWEAR Although many Mother of the Brides and Grooms initially think they don t want to wear a hat, we always try to encourage all Mother of the Brides to try one on. They are usually astonished at the difference it makes in completing their wedding outfit. We also stock a fabulous choice of styles and colours of hatinators and fascinators as alternatives, so please do ask to see them. A long time is spent on selecting headwear as getting styles and colours to match is extremely difficult this why we have taken the hard work away from you. You wouldn t believe the different shades of silver there is out there and how much the wrong colour of silver can ruin an outfit. The hat is just as important as the outfit. We also offer a dying service for feather fascinators.

12 FOOTWEAR Buy your shoes well in advance, ideally when you get your outfit as it is so much easier to choose when you have your outfit on. This allows you to get the best colour match while in store, saving you time and effort. You don t want to take your outfit out with you at a later date to purchase shoes. Please ask your advisor to show you various styles of shoes while you have your dress on this can transform the overall look of your outfit. We have been dealing with the same designers for our shoes as they not only complement your outfit but they are comfortable too. You will also be able to begin breaking in your shoes in the comfort of your own home, which will save your feet on the wedding day. T
