Greys, blacks, and whites are here to stay. Leather and plaid are fall staples, but wearing them in new ways can keep things looking fresh. For example, a new plaid capelet teamed up with a leather pencil skirt could be just the update your wardrobe needs. Minis of the 60s continue to trend with the long cardigan of the 70s. A long, open cardigan works for most figures. The key is what you pair it with. Watch the proportions. Hemlines are a new focal point: unfinished, uneven, or curvy. Get ready to welcome fall with clean lines, cocoon silhouettes, and fur-trimmed capes as this season s collections are all about wrapping up yourself against the chilly days ahead.
