Scratches or changes, for any reason, cannot be reversed. Relays qualify as a school. Relay cards will be due at 10:00am (Noon) Tuesday April 19 th. 1 st, 2 nd,3 rd, or 4 th place finishers out of district meets who will not compete in the area competition should be scratched by the coach using the Area Meet Scratch Form. Coaches adding athletes due to a scratch should also fill out a scratch/add form. It is the responsibility of the coach that is relinquishing their athlete to notify by phone the 5 th place or next place qualifiers coach in order to fill the vacancy. 2 Rosters Include all qualifiers and alternates. Any athlete who might participate at the area meet should be on your roster. This roster certifies eligibility. Relay Declaration Schools shall declare their relay teams by Tuesday April 19 th 10:00am by submitting the attached declaration form. Relay Cards may be changed any time prior to the race as long they are on your roster. Uniforms UIL uniform rules will apply amended from the NFHS rules of the current year. Boys must wear shorts. An athlete checked into a competition must be in full uniform. The uniform must be worn during check in and at the competition site. No jewelry may be worn during check in or competition. This includes, but not limited to, rings, necklaces, earrings, bracelets, anklets, tongue piercings and naval piercings. Covering the jewelry is not allowed. Watches may be worn by runners. No pacing watches may be worn. Only rubber bands, string, ribbon, beads woven into hair or soft bands without metal may be worn in the hair. Metal clips, bobby pins, or barrettes no longer than 2 may be worn during competition. No hard plastic or metal bands. All relay members must be in compliance with UIL rules. School Assignments: Each School will be responsible for providing 3 workers for field events or running events. Packet Pickup: All packets may be picked up in the 2 nd Floor Community Room of the press box beginning at 1:00pm on Wednesday April 16 th. Para Events: Wheel Chair athletes will compete at the designated time according to the meet schedule. Schools may contact the meet director to accommodate any specific circumstances for para events. Field Events: The horizontal jumps and throws events will have 3 preliminary trials. The (8) best efforts will be given (3) final attempts. Athletes will compete in reverse order for final attempts. 3 preliminary FOULS will result in forfeiture of any final attempts. Shot & Disc Weigh In: Throwing implements will be weighed 1 hour prior to event in at the Southwest stadium garage (West side/gate2) Implements not approved will be impounded until the meet is over. Athletes are responsible for checking out their implement when competition is over. Proposed Starting Heights: 2 inch below lowest qualifying mark from district competition in the HJ/6 inches below qualifying mark in the pole vault. Pole Vaulters may be weighed in at the training station any time prior to their event. Results will be sent to the pole vault judge 1.5 hours prior to scheduled event ONLY MANUFACTURERS POLE RATING MARKS ARE ACCEPTABLE.

3 Electronic Devices No noise related electronic devices allowed on the infield. Radios, speakers, walkie talkies or other sound devices are not allowed in the stands or areas of competition. T-Shirts FineDesign will be on site for T-Shirt sales. Spikes: Only ¼ inch pyramid spikes are allowed. Bus Parking: All school team buses/school vans will park in the Northeast parking lot by the softball field Team Camps All team campus must be in the East Stands Trash containers will be provided throughout the East stands PLEASE USE THEM NO Team camps on the infield Field Access Only competitor warm up and officials allowed on the infield. Coaches will not be allowed on the track or infield during competition. Coaches may assist with relay handoffs, marks in long jump/triple jump, pole vault, and high jump prior to the first call for field events. Field judges will instruct coaches at the site of the designated areas. NO Food, drink, gum, sun flower seeds allowed on the infield (bottled water only) Water carts will be provided. Participant/Spectator Entry: All athletes should enter the stadium through Gate 3 use east side stands (Northeast Gate) All trainers or managers will require a wristband for stadium and field access. Coaches may pick up wristbands at check in. All spectators must enter the stadium through Gate 1 us west side stands (Northwest Gate)

4 Competition & Warm-up All warm ups for running events will be on the football field. No warm ups allowed on the track during the 3200 meter run competition All athletes/relay (all 4 members) must report to the staging area prior to competition (Southwest corner of football field) Lane assignments and hip numbers will be issued in the staging area. Heats will be escorted to the track. All athletes must check in prior to all field events with the lead event official Training Services: LISD will provide training services for all athletes located at the Southwest corner of the field house. Stadium Policies: No Tobacco, gum, or seeds in the competition area or warm-up area Only bottled water allowed-water cows will be available in both end zones All food and drink must stay in the bleachers or camp area No spectators or parents allowed on the field. No dressing rooms available No outside meals will be permitted entrance on the west side. All deliveries will be sent to the east side. Awards: Medals will be presented to the top three places in each event. Team trophies will be presented for all relays and Team Champion and Team Runner-up. Each 1 st, 2 nd & 3 rd place finisher should report immediately to the awards stand Uniforms All uniforms must be in compliance with UIL Rules.
