Course Code: ICAM 303 Course Title: 3D Animation II 3. Number of Credits: 4 (0-8- 4) 8 hrs 4. Prerequisite: ICAM Type of Course: Required for Animation Production 6. Trimester/Academic Year: Trimester 2/ Year 3 7. Conditions: Enrollment cap: 19 students 8. Course Description: Advanced skills for 3D computer animation; developing a working knowledge of the underlying process of 3D animation; polygonal modeling techniques, HDRI, procedural and raster image mapping, digital matte painting, lighting, camera, Standard and Mental Ray lighting and shader, rendering methods, computer graphics pipeline workflow, compositing, and pre- production fundamentals. 9. Course Objectives: After successful completion of this course, students will be able to: 9.1 demonstrate advanced skills in modeling, animating, lighting, and rendering 9.2 apply compositing techniques for CG projects 9.3 use 3D methods to create a narrative animation. 9.4 apply pre-production fundamentals for 3D animation projects
