We are just waiting on one piece of livestock information from the Dept of Ag. Leaders will be notified when the handbooks can be picked up, the information will also be posted on our county web site. If you need to know the show requirements for your project before you get your handbook please call the office and we will look it up for you. I can not stress enough how important it is to look up your projects in the handbook to find out what you are supposed to show, or what livestock classes you will need to enter. Be sure to review the awards and award application section in the back of the handbook. It includes a copy of the local and State award applications. This will help you wrap things up at the end of August. Clinton County 4-H Show Dates The 4-H Shows will be here before we know it. Mark your calendars now. The General Project s Show will be July 11. This show will include all non-live animal projects. It will be at Central High School. The Dairy Show will be July 13, Small Animals, Swine and Goats will be July 14, Beef and Sheep will both be on July 16. The date for the horse show has not been finalized yet. That information will be mailed directly to the horse exhibitors once I have the details. Horse exhibitors planning to attend the Jr. Horse Fair July 27-Aug 2 need to contact me by April 1. Dairy exhibitors planning to show at the State Fair who have not exhibited there previously need to contact me by April 1.
