13 Atmospheric Sounding and Wind Profiling Missions (III) Identification of the future user needs 3D wind vector : observations over ocean, poles and scarcely inhabited areas. Expected high impact for NWP in the Tropics and Southern Hemisphere. Temperature profiles: increase of vertical resolution, observations in cloudy areas and over land.
