2 1 NDI TRAINING GENERAL INFORMATION All training programs can be offered for two NDT levels (level 1 and level 2). All training programs meet the minimum training hour and examination requirements of various international recommended practices and standards (European, American, ISO). Training programs are available on-site training or at our facilities in the Netherlands. On-site training programs can only be performed if local equipment is available for the courses (some equipment can be shipped for training). Specification All our training programs and examinations meet the requirements of the recommended practice ASNT SNT-TC-1A and standards NAS410, EN4179 and ISO 9712 for qualification and certification of NDT personnel. NDT levels I & II NDT Level I individual should be qualified to properly perform specific calibrations, specific NDT and specific evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and to record results. The NDT Level I should receive the necessary instruction and supervision from a certified NDT Level II or III individual. NDT Level II individual should be qualified to set up and calibrate equipment and to interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards and specifications. The NDT Level II should be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the methods for which he is qualified and should exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance of trainees and NDT Level I personnel. The NDT Level II should be able to organize and report the results of NDT tests. Development All our training programs meet the requirements of recommended practice ASNT SNT- TC-1A and standards NAS410 (American), EN4179 (European) and ISO 9712 specifications for qualification and certification of NDT personnel. Examination For qualification/certification the candidate must successfully pass the following three examinations with a minimum score of 70% for each individual examination and, for SNT- TC-1A/NAS410/EN4179, with an average score of no less than 80%: 1. 4 2 VISUAL TESTING - LEVEL I & II Course description: Course duration: Objective: Development: Experience hours: Course content: Visual Inspection involves using an inspector's eyes as a probing medium to detect the discontinuities in the material. The inspector may also use special tools such as magnifying glasses, mirrors, borescope, fiberscope or video scope to gain access and more closely inspect the various shape and size of parts. Visual examiners follow procedures that range from simple to very complex. 10 Days (80 Hours) After completion of Visual & Optical Testing - Level II classroom training course you will give get in depth knowledge of visual and optical techniques, mechanical & optical tools, interpretation and evaluation various product discontinuities. Developed to meet the requirements of ASNT SNT- TC- 1A, ISO9712 and customer specific written practice for training and certification in this method of Non Destructive Testing personnel. As per requirements of international recognized specifications, you need to have a minimum of on- job training (OJT) training hours after completion of training classes for certification in this method. 6 3 LIQUID PENETRANT TESTING - LEVEL I & II Course description: Course duration: Objective: Development: Experience hours: Course content: Test objects are coated with visible or fluorescent dye solution. Excess dye is then removed from the surface, and a developer is applied. The developer acts as blotter, drawing trapped penetrant out of imperfections open to the surface. With visible dyes, vivid color contrasts between the penetrant and developer make "bleed out" easy to see. With fluorescent dyes, ultraviolet light is used to make the bleed out fluoresce brightly, thus allowing imperfections to be readily seen. 5 Days (40 Hours) level I / 5 Days (40 Hours) level II After completion of this liquid penetrant testing class you will get in- depth knowledge of Physics of Liquid Penetrant Testing, materials and applications of Liquid Penetrant Testing methods to test various ferrous and nonferrous product forms for discontinuities open to the surface. Developed to meet the requirements of ASNT SNT- TC- 1A, NAS410, EN4179 and ISO9712 and customer specific written practice for training and certification in this method of Non Destructive Testing personnel. 12 6 MAGNETIC TESTING - LEVEL I & II Course description: Magnetization is possible of certain materials, it is possible to find out discontinuities by using medium (iron powder) having magnetic attraction. Magnetic Particle Inspection is relatively easy and simple test method that can be applied at various stages of manufacturing and process. Direction is more impartment factor than the magnitude of magnetizing current. For reliable inspection magnetic lines should be perpendicular to the discontinuity. If magnetic lines are parallel to the discontinuity then leakage will be little and indication will be small or indefinite. Cracks distort the magnetic lines of force and create poles on either side of crack. Strength depends upon the number of interrupted lines of force. Indication of maximum size is found when magnetic lines are at right angle to discontinuity. The Intensity of magnetization depends upon the susceptibility of material to become magnetized Course duration: Objective: Development: Experience hours: Course content: 5 Days (40 Hours) level I / 5 Days (40 Hours) level II After completion of this Magnetic Particle testing class you will get in- depth knowledge of Physics of Magnetic Testing, materials and applications of Magnetic Testing methods to test various ferrous product forms for discontinuities open to and below the surface.
