1 CAMPAIGN PERIOD HONG LEONG CREDIT CARD #100 Happy Days Campaign 1. The Hong Leong Bank s ( HLB ) #100 Happy Days Campaign ( Campaign ) commences on 11 th November 2016 at 00:00:00 hours (12:00a.m.) and ends on 18 th February 2017 at 23:59:59 (11:59p.m.), inclusive of both dates ( Campaign Period ), unless notified otherwise. TERMS & CONDITIONS The following sets out the terms and conditions applicable to the Campaign ( T&Cs ):- ELIGIBILITY 2. The Campaign is open to all Hong Leong Principal Credit Cardholders who fulfill one of the following during the Campaign Period: a) Apply and successfully issued a Hong Leong Credit Card (including supplementary credit card, if any); b) Apply and successfully approved a Call-for-Cash Plus ( CFC+ ); and/or c) Register successfully via SMS (in accordance with the requirements set out in Clause 4 below) hereinafter collectively referred to as Eligible Cardholders 3. The following persons are NOT eligible to participate in the Campaign: (a) HLB Debit Cardholders (b) Supplementary HLB Credit Cardholders; (c) Cardholders of HLB Credit Card(s) issued outside of Malaysia; (d) Cardholders of HLB Corporate Credit Card(s), Virtual Card(s) and Mobile Money; and (e) Cardholders whose Credit Card account(s) are believed to be operated fraudulently or which are invalid, delinquent, suspended, cancelled or in breach of any T&C herein or the HLB Cardholder Agreement Terms and Conditions ( Cardholders Agreement ) SMS REGISTRATION 4. To participate in the Campaign, the Hong Leong Principal Credit Cardholders must perform a one-time registration by replying or sending a SMS to ( Designated Number ) in accordance with the instructions as follows ( SMS Registration ): a) When replying SMS blast by Type HD2 and send to (Example: HD2) OR b) When sending SMS to (i.e. for Principal HLB Credit Cardholders who did not receive SMS from HLB but wish to participate in this Campaign) Type HD3<space>12-digit IC number and send to (Example: HD ) Or Type HD5<space>12-digit IC number and send to (Example: HD ) #100 Happy Days Campaign - Terms and Conditions Page 1 of 6

2 5. For the avoidance of doubt, the participation in the Campaign will only commence from the date HLB receives the SMS Registration ( SMS Registration Date ). 6. Eligible Cardholders shall be responsible to: (a) Check and ensure that their respective telecommunication service providers ( Telcos ) are able to support the sending of SMS to the Designated Number during the Campaign Period; and (b) Pay the standard SMS charges as levied by their respective Telcos for each SMS sent under this Campaign to the Designated Number. Currently, the Telcos which are capable of supporting the sending of SMS to the Designated Number are Celcom, Maxis, Digi and umobile. HLB shall not be held liable or responsible if the Telcos of an Eligible Cardholder is unable to support the sending of SMS to the Designated Number. 7. Eligible Cardholders are responsible to ensure that the details in the SMS Registration sent to the Designated Number are accurate, complete and within the Campaign Period, failing which, the Eligible Cardholders SMS Registration will not be processed. 8. Eligible Cardholders will receive a SMS confirmation from the Designated Number for every SMS Registration successfully sent to the Designated Number ( SMS Confirmation ), subject to the SMS traffic at the respective Telco s network. This SMS Confirmation is automatically generated to confirm HLB s acknowledgement of receipt of a transmitted SMS Registration and shall NOT be deemed as a confirmation that the Eligible Cardholders are successfully registered for the Campaign. 9. In the event the SMS sent is incomplete/ invalid, the Eligible Cardholders will be notified via SMS at no cost on the part of Eligible Cardholders requesting them to re-register via SMS or re-send the SMS. 10. Proof of SMS Registration sent to the Designated Number by the Eligible Cardholders shall not be deemed as confirmation or acknowledgement of receipt by HLB of the SMS Registration unless the Eligible Cardholders have received a SMS Confirmation as per Clause 8 above and such SMS Confirmation will only be sent to the same mobile phone number used in the SMS Registration. 11. HLB shall not be liable and reserves the right at HLB s sole and absolute discretion without assigning any reason thereof to disqualify any invalid SMS Registration sent to the Designated Number due to any reason whatsoever including but not limited to duplicate SMS Registration, IC number of the Principal HLB Credit Cardholder not found in HLB s records or not matched, use of HLB Supplementary Cardholder IC number in the SMS Registration, incorrect SMS Registration format, unsuccessful or delayed transmission of SMS Registration 12. HLB is not responsible for nor is HLB have any control whatsoever, on any SMS traffic congestion, network failure and/or interruptions and/or congestion on the part of the respective Telco or for any other reason whatsoever during the process of sending the SMS Registration to the Designated Number or the sending of the SMS Confirmation from the Designated Number to the Eligible Cardholders which may result in the delay of the SMS Registration and SMS Confirmation being transmitted during the Campaign Period. #100 Happy Days Campaign - Terms and Conditions Page 2 of 6

3 CAMPAIGN MECHANICS 13. Eligible Cardholders who (a) perform Eligible Transactions (as defined in Clause 15 below) with a minimum retail spend of RM30 in a single receipt using any of the HLB Credit Card(s) during the Campaign Period ; and/or (b) applied and have been approved with the Call-For-Cash Plus ( CFC+ ) of minimum of RM1,000 during the Campaign Period ( Eligible CFC+ ) and/or (c) applied any Hong Leong credit card including supplementary credit card, if any, and have been approved during the Campaign Period ( Eligible Card ) shall stand a chance to win RM 100 cash back daily throughout the Campaign Period in the manner as described in the Cash Back table in Clause 13.1 below Cash Back Table Period 11 to 30 November to 31 December to 31 January to 18 February 2017 Total Number of winners (unit) 2,000 3,100 3, ,000 Cash Back Daily (RM) Total Cash Back (RM) 200, , , ,000 1,000, How to earn Qualifying Entries: Eligible Cardholders are required to fulfill a minimum retail spend of RM30 and/or has been approved with CFC+ of minimum of RM1,000 and/or has been approved with Hong Leong credit card (including supplementary credit card, if any) in order to earn the respective number of Qualifying Entries in the manner as described below: Category Qualifying Criteria Qualifying Entries A Every RM30 retail spend in a single receipt (Local Transaction without PIN entry) 1 entry B C D E Every RM30 retail spend in a single receipt (Local & Overseas Transaction with PIN entry) Every RM30 retail spend in a single receipt (Transactions in foreign currency including overseas and online purchases) Every new approved principal Hong Leong credit card or principal Hong Leong credit card & supplementary credit card during the Campaign Period. For the avoidance of doubt, Eligible Transactions are: (a) Defined as local, overseas and/or online retail transactions charged to HLB Credit Card within the respective Campaign Period that is posted in Ringgit Malaysia (RM). (b) Inclusive of Online/internet Retail transaction, auto-billing/recurring transaction and new 0% Interest Extended Payment Plan ( EPP ) transactions transacted during the Campaign Period which are posted into the Eligible Cardholder s HLB Credit Card Account. For EPP, the full transaction amount shall be treated as a single Eligible Transaction during the Campaign Period in which it was transacted. Exclusive of all Debit Card transaction(s), Insurance transactions, cash advance, Balance Transfer, Flexi-payment Plan (FPP), fund transfer, Call-For-Cash ( CFC ), reversal, fees and/or charges imposed by HLB and posted into the Eligible Cardholder s Credit Card Account. 16. Tracking of the Eligible Transactions will be based on the dates of transaction (and times based on Malaysian Time for Eligible Transactions) or Eligible CFC+ or Eligible Card will be based on approval date which are successfully posted in the HLB system throughout the Campaign Period in order to determine entitlement for Qualifying Entries based on the prescribed Qualifying Criteria (as set out in the table under Clause 14 above) which will be carried out after the conclusion of the Campaign Period. 17. For the avoidance of doubt, Eligible Transaction can only qualify for 1 category of Qualifying Criteria based on the highest Qualifying Entries. 18. Only the Principal Cardholder is entitled to win the Cash Back. RM 100 CASH BACK FULFILMENT 19. After the conclusion of the Campaign Period, the Eligible Cardholders who have fulfilled the Qualifying Criteria and earned Qualifying Entries within the Campaign Period with an active HLB Credit Card will be randomly selected ( Shortlisted Cardholders ) to be entitled for the Cash Back. 20. The Shortlisted Cardholders will receive a SMS from HLB, containing one (1) question and instructions to reply, at their latest telephone numbers furnished to HLB and as shown in HLB s records. 21. The Shortlisted Cardholders who responded via SMS with the correct answer and in the correct format as instructed in the SMS sent by HLB will stand to win the Cash Back ( Winners ), subject to the maximum numbers up to one hundred (100) Winners per day, will be selected. 22. In the event the Shortlisted Cardholder wrongly answers the question and / or do not respond to the question sent by HLB via SMS within Two (2) calendar days will be disqualified for the particular day s contest. 23. A Shortlisted Cardholder is entitled to win the RM100 Cash Back only one (1) time per day although the Shortlisted Cardholder is entitled to the Cash Back more than One (1) time during the Campaign period if being selected as the lucky winner Announcement of Winners will be made on HLB website at ( HLB s Website ) and via SMS within Eight (8) weeks after the Campaign Period. 25. The list of the Winners who are entitled for the Cash Back will be published at the HLB s Website and the Cash Back will be credited into the Winners Credit Card Account within twelve (12) weeks after the conclusion of the Campaign. #100 Happy Days Campaign - Terms and Conditions Page 4 of 6

5 GENERAL 26. Eligible Cardholders shall be deemed to have given their consent to: (a) Enroll and to participate in this Campaign; and (b) The disclosure of the Eligible Cardholders names, contact numbers and IC Numbers to HLB s service provider for purpose of running this Campaign. 27. By participating in this Campaign, the Eligible Cardholders: (a) Agree to be bound by the T&Cs herein; (b) Consent to and authorize HLB to disclose their personal data (i.e. name, address, phone number, IC Number) to the service providers engaged by HLB for the purpose of handling the Campaign; (c) Consent for HLB to disclose or publish their names, IC numbers (in masked form) and/or photo(s) in HLB s Website; (d) Agree to access the HLB s Website at regular time intervals to view the T&Cs of the Campaign and to ensure that they keep-up-to-date with any changes or variations to the T&Cs herein. 28. HLB reserves the right to: (a) Decline the eligibility of any Principal HLB Credit Cardholder to participate in the Campaign for any reason whatsoever as HLB may in its absolute discretion deem fit. In particular, HLB shall have the absolute right to decline the eligibility of an Eligible Cardholder who has performed an Eligible Transaction in a manner or pattern which HLB deems to be abnormal, irregular and/or is indicative of an attempt to obtain an unfair advantage over other Eligible Cardholders with normal/regular spending patterns, and HLB s decision in this matter shall be final and conclusive on all Eligible Cardholders; (b) Forfeit the Cash Back in the circumstance where there is reversal of Eligible Transactions or termination/cancellation of the Eligible Card during the Campaign Period and/or at the point of awarding the Cash Back or due to any non-compliance to the T&C herein; (c) Amend the total amount of the Cash Back and/or replace the Cash Back herein with an alternative gift of similar value at HLB s absolute discretion, by way of posting on HLB s Website or in any other manner which HLB deems practical, in order to give prior notice to the Eligible Cardholders; and (d) Add, delete or amend the T&C herein, either wholly or in part, or to suspend or terminate this Campaign at any time at its absolute discretion, by way of posting on the HLB s Website, or in any other manner which HLB deems practical, in order to give prior notice to Cardholders on such addition, deletion or amendment of the T&C or suspension or termination of this Campaign. 29. HLB shall not be liable and responsible for any failure or delay in transmission of sales transactions by merchant establishments, postal or any party in which may result in the Eligible Cardholders being omitted from this Campaign. 30. Eligible Cardholders HLB Credit Card Account(s) must be valid/active, in good standing and must not be in breach of any of the T&Cs of this Campaign and/or Cardholders Agreement at all times and at the point of awarding the Cash Back. 31. The Cash Back is not transferable to any third (3rd) party and non-exchangeable for up-front cash, credit, and cheque and/or benefit-in-kind. 32. In addition to the T&C stipulated above, the Eligible Cardholders agree that the General Terms and Conditions in the HLB Cardholders Agreement and CFC+ Terms and Conditions shall be read together with the T&Cs herein as an entire agreement. In the event of any discrepancy between these T&Cs as compared to the General Terms and Conditions contained in the Cardholders Agreement and CFC+ Terms and Conditions, the specific T&Cs herein shall prevail to the extent of such discrepancy. #100 Happy Days Campaign - Terms and Conditions Page 5 of 6

In the event of any discrepancies between these T&Cs as compared to the advertising, promotional, publicity and other materials relating to or in connection with this Campaign, the final T&Cs on HLB s Website shall prevail. 34. The T&Cs herein shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia and the Eligible Cardholders agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Malaysia. #100 Happy Days Campaign - Terms and Conditions Page 6 of 6
