HIGH-QUALITY ACADEMIC PROGRAMS Since opening our doors more than 40 years ago, COD has continually increased its credit offerings, now providing 71 Associate in Applied Science degrees in 41 different career and technical subject areas; 160 certificates in 46 different career and technical subject areas; out of nine degrees awarded by College of DuPage, seven are considered transfer degrees with the two most common being the Associate in Arts and the Associate in Science degrees. COD is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, which also accredits four-year colleges and universities across the Midwest. 3 INNOVATIVE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT The facilities on College of DuPage s campus are second to none. Our Health and Sciences Center and Technology Education Center are home to cuttingedge labs and teaching space. College of DuPage is the only community college in the nation to have its own CT scanner. College of DuPage also boasts a Simulation Lab Hospital with four hospital rooms, an operational nurse station and a simulation de-briefing room. Our Culinary & Hospitality Center (CHC) and Homeland Security Education Center (HEC) opened in The CHC provides our culinary and hospitality students with two restaurants, a culinary market and a six-room hotel to hone their skills. And the HEC is home to our 4-D immersive street scene for training first responders as well as a forensics lab and a smoke room. CONVENIENT REGIONAL CENTERS Can t make it to our main campus in Glen Ellyn? No problem. We have four regional centers that offer classes during the day, evening and weekends. Each regional center offers a variety of courses each semester to help you fulfill general education requirements or take many adult non-credit courses. Each regional center is fully staffed to help you register for classes, answer your questions, schedule appointments with counselors and advisors to help guide you in selecting the right courses, and each has an open computer lab for the community. 4 TRANSFER DEGREES If your goal is to obtain a degree, at College of DuPage you can earn one of nine associate degrees spanning 44 programs of study. You can earn your associate degree and then transfer to another college or university to complete your bachelor s degree. Career and Technical programs prepare you by providing both classroom knowledge and hands-on experience. 9 College of DuPage offers you a range of educational programs whether you are interested in changing careers or looking to enhance your skills. We offer flexible scheduling and a variety of class delivery formats that meet your educational needs. ADULT FAST TRACK If you are over the age of 21, seeking an accelerated program and are seriously committed to continuing your education, Adult Fast Track is the program for you. Adult Fast Track courses are offered in an eightweek format with one regularly scheduled four-hour class per week to accommodate your busy lifestyle. Classes typically meet in the evenings or on Saturday mornings. COD ONLINE We offer more than 250 courses in 44 disciplines completely online. You can complete your studies at home, work or in one of the College of DuPage computer labs at your own pace. You can earn an Associate in Arts or an Associate in General Studies entirely online. You can also choose from more than 20 certificate programs online. COOPERATIVE EDUCATION Acquire hands-on work experience in a career setting of your choice, get paid and earn college credit at the same time. If you are seeking a career change, had your job eliminated or have been downsized, this program may be perfect for you. CREDIT BY DEMONSTRATED COMPETENCE Earn college credit by taking a test that demonstrates your knowledge gained on the job or through other educational experiences. FIELD AND EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING/ STUDY ABROAD The world is your classroom and you can learn in a variety of exciting environments worldwide. FLEXIBLE LEARNING Flexible Learning is an alternative to the traditional classroom setting or online learning. If you are limited by time or place, Flexible Learning courses may be for you. These self-paced courses have been designed to allow students to work independently under the guidance of an instructor. HYBRID COURSES Hybrid courses integrate 50 percent classroom instruction with 50 percent online learning which allows you to earn credit using a flexible, effective format. WEEKEND STUDIES You can earn full-time college credits by attending class only five alternate weekends per term, all day Saturday or Sunday afternoon.

Our cafeteria, located on the first floor of the Student Resource Center (SRC), features food court style service with a full complement of hot and cold foods and beverages, along with a Chick-fil-A and Subway. When you make the choice to attend College of DuPage, we re here to help you succeed. Adult students make up more than 45 percent of the student population. For your convenience, most student services offices and the cafeteria are open in the evening. Check the website for hours of operation. ACADEMIC COMPUTING CENTER This center provides you access to computers on campus. You can also use the computer lab in each regional center. BOOKSTORE The bookstore offers you the opportunity to purchase new and used books, school supplies, cards, gifts, clothing, electronics, software and study aids. The bookstore accepts checks, cash, VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. You can also sell books back to the bookstore with a photo ID. CAREER SERVICES CENTER If you need help setting career goals or job-search strategies, visit the Career Services Center. They can assist you with writing resumes, developing interview techniques, assessing your skills to prepare you for a marketable career, job placement or internships, and developing strategies for successful transition into new employment. These services are available at no cost to students and the community. COUNSELING AND ADVISING Counselors can assist if you are undecided about your career or educational direction. Advisors will guide you with course selection, placement tests or transfer planning. Faculty advisors are experts in their academic and program area and can help once you have selected your career choice. LEARNING COMMONS If you are searching for academic help, Learning Commons offers tutoring in math, reading and writing and speech assistance. Day, evening and weekend hours are available. LIBRARY If you need to complete research for a class, you can access our collections and research databases on or off campus. The Library offers computers for your use and includes the College and Career Information Collection. CENTER FOR ENTREPRENEURSHIP Assists entrepreneurs and small business managers in the areas of business management, marketing, finance and operations. The center also assists those interested in doing business with the government. STARBUCKS Yes, we have Starbucks. If you need coffee, tea or a snack, head to the second floor of the Student Services Center (SSC). EINSTEIN BAGELS Einstein Bagels is located on the first floor of the McAninch Arts Center. Stop by for a bagel, a variety of hot and cold food items or a hot or cold beverage. VETERANS SERVICES College of DuPage is dedicated to supporting veterans transitioning to student life. The Veterans Services office provides veterans with counseling and advising, academic assistance, career placement and benefits information. COD also provides a dedicated Veterans Lounge and study area with computers.

11 MCANINCH ARTS CENTER (MAC) Since its opening in October 1986, the MAC has left lasting memories with more than 1.5 million audience members. The Cleve Carney Art Gallery showcases regional and national contemporary artists, while the Belushi Performance Hall and the outdoor amphitheater allow patrons to enjoy the arts all year long. PHYSICAL EDUCATION CENTER (PEC) The Physical Education Center offers an 11,000 square-foot fitness center with state-of-the-art equipment. Sign up for a fitness class or enjoy personal and group fitness training. The PEC includes a 40,000 square-foot arena with indoor track and an eight-lane, 25-yard lap pool with built in ADA ramp. EARLY CHILDHOOD CENTER (ECC) If you are seeking a paid child care program for your children, the Early Childhood Center offers parttime preschool, full-time preschool and toddler care, along with kindergarten classes.

FLEXIBLE PAYMENT PLANS College of DuPage offers you an opportunity to enroll in one of our convenient payment plans. We understand that you may not be able to pay in full as required at registration. To help make paying for college easier, we offer payment plans to help spread out your payments. If you are receiving financial aid (i.e. grants and loans), then you must enroll in the College s deferred payment plan. If you work in district, you may be eligible for in-district tuition. If you reside outside the College of DuPage district but are employed full-time within the district, you may be eligible for Special Residency Classification.
