1 POST SPECIFICATION POST: LOCATION: SALARY HOURS REPORTING TO: RESPONSIBLE FOR: Organisational Development Manager Riverside Campus (or other College location as required) 32,554-36,686 per annum 35 hours per week Head of Organisational Development 2 OD Officers, 1 OD Administrator KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Provide management of the College s Organisational Development offering to deliver best practice. 2. Design, develop, deliver and evaluate training and learning experiences college wide, that demonstrate relevance and value to the business needs of the College. 3. Facilitate regular development interventions with diverse cross college groups. 4. Promote Organisational Development within the organisation championing the benefits of a highly developed and suitably trained, skilled and qualified workforce. 5. Work closely with Head of Organisational Development to identify College wide development needs and design appropriate interventions. 6. Design needs based Continuing Professional Development (CPD) frameworks and programmes aligned with College strategies. 7. Create and implement learning and development solutions and resources, including the management of on-line and blended learning approaches to support integration of new colleagues and regular ongoing CPD. 2 KEY ROLES 1. Support the Head of Organisational Development in the management of key projects i.e. City Learning, One City, Teaching Academy, Staff Ideas Scheme, in-house Mediation, College Coaching agenda etc. 2. Support OD team development to ensure optimal performance and professional development. Conduct regular meetings and annual personal development reviews. 3. Keep up to date with leading innovative practice in learning and teaching, leadership and management and organisational development. 4. Support the delivery of the Organisational Development operational plan and associated College strategies. 5. Support the Head of Organisational Development in developing relevant metrics and key performance indicators and in the measurement of these. 6. Provide a business partner approach to promote credible organisational development provision which drives continuous individual and team improvements. 7. Provide regular facilitation to engage cross College colleagues in the sharing of innovative practice and promoting learning and development. 8. Undertake meaningful evaluation and provide quarterly reports and analysis on the effectiveness of all facilitation, training, changes in behaviour and associated returns on investment. 9. Support the Head of Organisational Development to develop an effective staff training needs analysis (for all levels) and integrate this with existing Personal Development Review (PDR) processes to ensure best fit for staff at all levels e.g. support, academic and management. 10. Promote Leadership and Management development opportunities and commercial use of the Leadership Academy (internal and external). 11. Manage the Organisational Development budget in conjunction with the Head of Organisational Development. 12. Establish and develop a core network of external links with agencies and industry create an up to date and accessible database 13. Consistently provide a solutions focussed approach. 14. Support accreditation initiatives (e.g. IIP, EFQM, ISO, IID etc.) 15. Ensure a high quality customer focussed Organisational Development service is consistently provided. 16. Support internal/external audits as required. 17. Identify best practice and innovation in organisational development (including CMI programmes), and in collaboration with Directors and Heads of Service, promote these within training programmes. 18. Create and support delivery of a best practice, innovative and cohesive leadership and management development programmes, report and analyse on the effectiveness of these and Return on Investment quarterly. 19. Promote ethical performance of the College through initiatives including Fair Trade etc., member of committees as required. 20. Work with the Head of Organisational Development, meeting monthly, to share ideas and updates on current priorities and projects to ensure a Page 2 of 5

3 cohesive organisational development offering. 21. Supporting the Student Executive with training interventions as required. 21. Provide support to contribute towards an effective College Culture at all levels within the organisation reflecting the College values, behaviours, purpose and our way (drive forward integration of Our Behaviours ). 23. Support College managers in managing change. 24. Develop initiatives to support team building across the College further to identified skills gaps/training needs analysis and within budget. 25. In liaison with the Diversity and Equality Manager, assist in the mainstreaming of equality through the College s strategic and operational functions. 26. Undertake meaningful evaluation analyse return on investment and provide reports on the impact of the Organisational Development initiatives and the subsequent changes in behaviours. 27. Undertake delegated duties as required on behalf of Head of Organisational Development. General 1. Be a role model and operate at all times supporting College values and corporate management. 2. Implement and promote College policies, particularly those relating to safeguarding and diversity and equality in all aspects of College operations. 3. Implement Health and Safety and security measures in accordance with statutory and College requirements. 4. Champion Diversity and Equality, and the College s purpose, way, values and behaviours. 5. Champion new campus new learning. 6. Undertake any other duties consistent with the key responsibilities and duties of the post, as directed.
