Who can participate?: Every Karateka who is a member of the ÖKB, WKF or the AAKF can participate. The membership must be proven with a valid identification (the identification must contain the 2016 badge and a medical certificate, not older than one year). Award ceremony: All medal winners have to wear a karate gi or a track suite of their karate club.

The oldest participant of a Kata-Team decides the age group. At least 3 participants are necessary for a Kata-Team-start. Kata Team: All medal contests with Bunkai for all age groups (time limit Kata and Bunkai max. 6 minutes). It s not possible to start in more than one team.

4 Landesverband der Wiener Karate Do Vereine U8, U10 and U12: The athletes must perform their kata at the same time except for the medal contests where the kata be performed one after another. Rules Kumite : Jiyu Kumite In the class of age kumite U10 and U12 the athletes have to choice if they want to start in the category kumite balls or kumite individual. It is not possible to start in both categories. Kumite Team: In kumite team competitions each team starter must meet the age class.it s not possible to start in more than one team. Kumite U10, U12 individual: The combat time is set to 90 seconds Kumite ball U10, U12: The combat time is set to 30 seconds Protective equipment: Protective equipment is compulsory according to the ÖKB-rules. In all category according to WKF rules: body protector Age: According to AAKF and WKF- rules, the exact date of birth is relevant. That means: (U10, U12, U14, U16, U18): everyone who has not completed his (10 th, 12 th, 14 th, 16 th, 18 th ) year of life, on the day of the Vienna Open. General: The organiser reserves the right to combine categories, if numbers are too low after the naming deadline. Naming: latest till Saturday, October 1 st 2016 at:
