It is with great honor and pride that Danish Karate Union, on behalf of the European Karate Organization, invites you to: THE EUROPEAN KARATE CHAMPIONSHIP 2017 Kyokushin/Shinkyokushin, Adults and Juniors. th th 8 9 of April Not only will we host a great European Championship, we will also be celebrating the 50th anniversary of Danish Karate Union Kyokushin/Shinkyokushin. 2 Venue The European Championship 2017 will take place at Roskilde Congress Center Bauhaus Arena. Here we have all the required facilities: lighting, sound, cameras, wide screens, spectator capacity, lounges, restaurants, parking and sports facilities for men and women. The Sayonara Party on Sunday the 9th will also be located at Roskilde Congress Center Bauhaus Arena, thanks to the high quality food and party capacity. For the party people, an After Party will be organized at a local night club. Have a look at roskildekongrescenter.dk/en, where you will find all information about the venue of EC2017.

All participants must bring: A written medical certificate (English or Dutch) no older than 3 months on the day of the tournament. A written certificate of non-pregnancy for all female participants. A written approval from legal guardian for all minors (below 18 years of age on the day of the tournament). A signed waiver for all participants. An official EKO passport.

We would like to make your stay as comfortable as possible, so please send us the expected number of your team participants and the hotel you prefer. This way we can make reservations for your team, as there is a limited number of rooms at the hotels. Payment & booking terms All payments must be made by bank transfer before arrival. Hotel bookings not paid before 1st of February will be cancelled due to normal international booking rules of hotels! The organizer is not responsible for canceled rooms due to these booking rules. Before participation, all National Organizations are requested to present a payment to the EKO of all outstanding debts. No registration of fighters is possible unless all debts to EKO are in balance All participants and coaches are required to wear National Team uniforms Ice bags will not be provided by the tournament doctor Time of bouts adults up to Quarterfinals 3 2 scale 2 min. (Article 6.7 EKO rules) There will be no Tameshiwari Referees and judges who haven t made registration on forehand must do so at the weight control office.
