3 REGISTRATION A $3O non refundable deposit is due at the time of registration. Registration is now available online at concordymca.org! Registration deadline is 6/6/16 first come first served. Late registration accepted based on availability by contacting the camp director, Sonia Wilks. WHAT TO BRING TO CAMP: Swimsuit & Towel 2 Snacks Bagged Lunch Bug Spray Water Bottle(s) Extra Clothes Sunscreen Sneakers Please label all personal items. ENROLLMENT FORMS All registration packets, complete with child s medical form, must be received 2 weeks prior to your child s first day of camp. A Physician must complete the physical form. Even if your child has attended After school, December, February or April vacation camp a new enrollment packet MUST be completed for summer camp. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE Through the generous support of the YMCA members and friends, scholarships are available. Please inquire at the YMCA or call Courtney Moser for more information. Scholarship requests must be submitted and approved before signing up for camp sessions. You must indicate you are applying for a camp scholarship. CAMP MOWKAWOGAN For the past three summers my son has attended camp at the Concord Family YMCA. There is nothing more reassuring than knowing my child is safe and having fun while I am at work. 4 PROMOTION RELEASE By signing up for Camp Mowkawogan, camp participants hereby grant permission to the Concord Family YMCA to use photographs and/or video footage of camp participants for commercial and art purposes in any medium of advertising, communication, publication, or publicity that will promote YMCA programs and services, and/or give recognition of participants, at any time. Camp participants acknowledge that the YMCA is a nonprofit organization. What makes Camp Mowkawogan so unique? It s a day camp that truly feels like camp in a natural setting proving opportunities for traditional summer camp activities. Campers will have the opportunity to engage in programs such as archery, boating, arts and crafts, and discovering nature while still returning to the comforts of home at the end of the day. REFUND POLICY Deposits are not refundable. Refunds of camp/ program fees are made only for medical reasons causing the withdrawal from camp upon advice from a physician. Minor illnesses such as a sore throat, stomachache, head lice, inappropriate behavior or changes of parent plans are not sufficient grounds to warrant a refund. CREDIT/DEBIT CARD/DRAFT PAYMENTS Weekly payments will be automatically charged to a credit card. The balance due for each week of the program will be drafted from the account two weeks prior to the session start date.

5 SQUEAKY SNEAKERS CAMP Completed Kindergarten Held at the Child Development Center right next door to the YMCA. This will allow us to use the facilities for swimming daily in the Y s pool and rock wall climbing. Campers will also go on fieldtrips for hiking and exploring at stat parks. Each week will feature an exciting theme with a culminating event on Fridays. (Squeaky Sneakers is a state licensed program.) CAMP MOWKAWOGAN Completed Grades 1-6 Campers will be grouped by grades completed. Programs include but are not limited to: High and Low Ropes Course Arts and Crafts (Pottery, Drawing, Painting, Sculpting, Creative Arts) Swimming and Boating Sports (Basketball, Archery, Volleyball, Soccer, Flag Football, Floor Hockey, Create-o-sport) Nature and outdoor living skills LIT (Leader In Training) Completed 7-10 Grade As part of a camper s development, our older campers will have the ability program fosters the YMCA leadership philosophy, affective communication, team building, campers beginning the second week of the session. Teens participate in the mandatory training week June 27-July 1st. This week introduces first aid/cpr skills, life guarding skills, behavior management techniques, building relationships, and a foundation for pre-employment skills. CIT PROGRAM Must have completed our LIT Program. 5 Week Program / Pick your own weeks (Weeks 2-9). No cost space is limited. At the Y, we help youth set and achieve their personal and educational goals. They gain confidence as they recognize the Y as a place where they belong and can feel comfortable exploring new interests and passions. A unique program designed especially for teenagers and a careful balance o f program components has been created to foster creativity, adventure, peer interaction, leadership skills, values clarification and friendships that will last a lifetime.

6 FRIENDSHIP ACCOMPLISHMENT BELONGING Camp Mokawogan programs offer a fun and unique experience that gives children and teens the opportunity to meet new friends, explore nature, discover new interests, be physically active and create memories that last a lifetime. 6

7 Attending summer camp is beneficial to every child s personal development. The experience teaches essential leadership and social skills and helps youth develop confidence and independence. Being a part of the camp community nurtures the potential of every child.
