We only have 4 receivers, so only one hand held or lapel per receiver may be used at a time. 4 x BSS DI boxes. 2 x Studiospares DI boxes Tascam CDR Tascam MD350 Minidisc player

3 We have ample microphone cables, with a comprehensive patching system and 2 x metre snakes. A 32 amp single phase power supply is situated on the balcony and a 125 amp 3 phase power supply is situated upstage centre. Operating position Lighting and sound positions are at the rear of the room on a lockable balcony, both desks are next to each other and can be operated by one person. Communication is by personal radio or by TecPro headset system. Dance floor We have 5 x 10m strips of black Harlequin Marley Dance floor which forms the stage surface. Masking We have a selection of 3m high black serge masking flats, braces and stage weights. There is no facility for flying, though lightweight items may be suspended form the trusses. Extras We have a Martin Smoke machine, a Unique haze machine and Sanyo and Panasonic projectors available for hire. Please contact the technical staff in advance to check availability and hire charges. Capacity & auditorium The standard seating is 336 seats on retractable tiered seating block. This can be increased to a maximum of 384 by adding loose rows of chairs on the floor. A maximum capacity of 212 is set for dance performances to maximize sightlines. Wheelchair spaces can be incorporated by removing front row seating. As the venue is versatile the capacity does vary depending on the set up (end on, catwalk, end stage etc.). Charges will be incurred for formatting the Assembly Room to a non standard layout Dressing rooms We have two large dressing rooms with sinks, kettles, irons and mirrors, and two w.c./shower rooms (one suitable for wheelchair users). Limited kitchen facilities are available close to the dressing rooms. Access to stage from dressing rooms is principally from stage right, though the dressing room corridor can act as a crossover to either side of stage. A washing machine and tumble drier are available for use, subject to a small charge per load.

4 Health & Safety Nothing can be fixed in to the wooden flooring in the Assembly Room. Any timber or materials brought in must adhere to the Fire Safety Category 1 regulations or be treated accordingly. Any electrical equipment must have a PAT certificate before being used in the premises. Risk assessments should be sent to the Technical Manager at least three weeks before the performance outlining risk assessment, use of real flame, smoke, pyrotechnics or use of stroboscope during the performance. Access Access to Assembly Room is from Hanson Street opposite Lazy Pasta S70 2HZ. The access to the venue is either via a small goods lift (door dimensions; width 1.10m height 1.95m), an external staircase (door dimensions width 1.37m height 1.95m) or public internal staircase (door dimensions width 1.37m height 1.95m) The drop off point for disabled access is located on Hanson Street and the performance area has disabled access either via the goods or public lift.
