11 Important Definition Changes in MAP-21 SAFETEA-LU Fixed Guideway public transportation facility (A) using and occupying a separate right-of-way or rail for the exclusive use of public transportation and other high occupancy vehicles; or (B) using a fixed catenary system and a rightof-way usable by other forms of transportation. MAP-21 Fixed Guideway - public transportation facility (A) using and occupying a separate right-of-way for the exclusive use of public transportation; (B) using rail; (C) using a fixed catenary system; (D) for a passenger ferry system; or (E) for a bus rapid transit system. 11
