2 The idea of the Roundtable In April 2015 IIA Estonia organized a Roundtable for internal auditors from the Baltic countries (see picture). It was a success with very positive feedback from the participants So we decided to enlarge the group in 2016 by inviting also Scandinavian internal auditors The main aim of the roundtable discussions is participants sharing their experiences, ideas and best practices used in their internal audit units. 3 Baltic and Scandinavian Internal Auditors Roundtable As of we have 19 participants registered from Estonia, Latvia, Lithunia. The registrants are from Baltic countries are from the internal audit units of financial institutions, energy companies, retail sector, other private companies, ministries, state agencies, Big4 audit companies. This year we expect also internal auditors from Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Iceland to join us as well to make the group really mixed and international one

4 Feedback from 2015 Roundtable In 2015 Roundtable event we had 14 participants. This year the group maximum is 25 people to keep it small and effective. Last year in addition to seminar agenda we had plenty of time for extra networking during the coffee breaks and evenings (Picture: informal dinner among the 2015 roundtable participants, together on the second day evening at Sagadi Manor) This year we offer a guided tour in our wonderful summer resort Pärnu, splendid welcome dinner on the first evening and in addition we can have plans for second dinner together on 7th of April. White sandy beaches, shallow waters, rich cultural scene and numerous cafés, restaurants and nightclubs attract thousand of tourists to enjoy their summer holidays. 11 Agenda, Thursday, 7th of April General approach: Forming mixed groups of internal auditors from different countries. At first there are discussions in small groups and then followed by presentation of the main points to all participants. The main aim of the roundtable discussions is that participants share their experiences, ideas and best practices used in their internal audit unit First Session of Roundtable Introduction of participants, Proposed topic for discussion: PLANNING Practical aspects: Annual / quarterly internal audit plan and planning our internal audits. Major challenges to overcome for auditors? Lunch at the NOOT restaurant (see Picture)

12 Agenda, Thursday, 7th of April Second Session of Roundtable Proposed topic for discussion: AUDIT PROCESS Parallel discussion: groups sharing experiences and ideas in small groups. Practical aspects: How internal audits are conducted in our organizations? What methods are used? What were the main topics audited in recent years? Refreshing coffee break Third Session of Roundtable Proposed topic for discussion: BEST PRACTICES Practical aspects: What are the latest trends You follow (IIA guidelines, global trends)? What kind of best practices are used in Your internal audit units?

Practical experiences in different organizations Discussion topic: professional development of internal auditors. How to stay motivated? Lunch at the restaurant Fifth Session of the Roundtable Discussion topic: The participants vote for the last topic they want to discuss among themselves.
