Polly Keller, Founder The David Lawrence Center s Annual Gala, a premier event in Naples, is a critical component of the Center s efforts to provide comprehensive mental health and substance abuse services in our community. Last year alone, more than 50,000 children and adults benefited from the Center s prevention, intervention and treatment programs. Your support helps the David Lawrence Center continue to fulfill its mission of delivering this much-needed care to thousands. The 2017 gala, Magical Musical Tour Dancing Through the Decades, was inspired by the Center s nearly 50-year history. The Gala Committee promises a memorable evening of dining and dancing with a fabulous band and entertainment. The Story of the David Lawrence Center David Lawrence Center is a not-for-profit community mental health and substance abuse treatment facility that was established in As state hospitals closed a network of publicly funded Crisis Stabilization Units arose to provide intensive, short-term care to people who may be in danger of harming themselves or others due to a mental illness. Locally, the David Lawrence Center is the leading provider of behavioral health solutions in our community for the one-in-four children and adults who experience mental health issues and the one-in-nine individuals struggling with substance abuse challenges. Mission Our mission is restoring and rebuilding lives by providing compassionate, advanced, and exceptional mental health, substance abuse, and integrated healthcare solutions, available to all. Vision The vision of the David Lawrence Center is to lead the way in transformational care so every individual can achieve what is possible.
