4 GENERAL PRICE LIST We are pleased to share with you our price information. Being well-informed of prices and requirements is extremely important, particularly when it may be during a time of emotional distress. Our Counselors will try to explain anything you find confusing, but nothing they or anyone else may say should be taken as modifying or differing with the written words in this document and on the statement describing the funeral goods services you select (Agreement). That Agreement will show, in as simple form as possible, your final selections, the prices, and what goods and services are included. You will be shown that Agreement before you sign it, and you will be given a copy to take with you. It is the final, authoritative statement of the agreements you have made. Payment in full is required 72 hours prior to furnishing of any merchandise, ceremonies or disposition. Acceptable forms of payment are cash, cashier s check, VISA, MasterCard, American Express and incontestable/assignable life insurance policies. There will be a 6% processing fee on all life insurance policies added to the Cash Advance Section of your Statement of Funeral Goods and Services selected. We do not accept estate claims. We will add 3% to the total when credit cards are used. This fee will be added to the Cash Advance section of your Statement of Funeral Goods and Services selected. California Sales Tax will be added to the cost of merchandise purchased. Services rendered by Harrison-Ross Mortuary and staff are non taxable. All information given to the counselor at the time funeral arrangements are made must be correct vital information prior to filing with the State of California. It is the contracting party s responsibility to provide the counselor with the correct information. If the information given is incorrect after the filing process has taken place, the death certificate must be amended. This can take several weeks and you will be responsible for all additional charges incurred to amend and order corrected copies of the death certificate. COMPLETE FUNERAL PACKAGES To help make funeral planning easier for you, Harrison-Ross offers several funeral packages. These packages provide you with a wide range of selections, options and prices. Each package is designed to provide all the necessary components for a complete funeral, and includes some relevant cemetery selections that we are able offer, as well as flowers. A discount is applied to the casket selected within each package for traditional funerals. There are packages that are appropriate for either traditional burials or cremations. Harrison-Ross does not discount for deletions or substitutions within the packages for lesser value. Detailed description of the mortuary services are included in the price list.
