1 THREE ISLAND SOLO TOUR FAIAL - PICO SAO MIGUEL ISLANDS Itinerary: September 30 Boston/ Sao Miguel October 1 - Sao Miguel/ Faial Arrival from Boston and flight to Faial Island Arriving to Faial, transfer by bus and local assistance to Hotel Canal. Free afternoon to rest and explore. Diner: Restaurant Canto da Doca (2 minutes walking distance from the Hotel) October 2 - Pico Transfer from the Hotel to the harbor. Time to be informed but probably will be around 09h30 as the ferry departs at 10h00. We need to wait for the winter schedules. Ferry trip top Pico Island. 30 minutes. Arrival to Cais Madalena do Pico. A bus and guide will be waiting for the group at the harbor and departure for a Full day Pico Pico's full day tour departs from a hotel or airport in Pico. However the tour may depart, upon request from a hotel in Faial and then ferry crossing to the island of Pico (about 30 minutes). Visit the wine museum, passing through protected Pico's vineyards, Unesco World Patrimony since 2004, stopping at Mourato coast, Cachorro, Lajido de Santa Luzia, Arcos and Cabrito with a proof of liquors in a typical seller. Visit the natural pool of São Roque do Pico. Lunch at São Roque do Pico. Continue along the central plateau of the island with a visit to Lagoa do Capitão and others lagoons. Pico's vinyards of Porto do Calhau, Pocinho e Criação velha. Lunch: typical lunch included Return back to the harbor and ferry to Faial Transfer back from Horta Harbor to the Hotel around 6h30pm (time to be reconfirmed) Diner: Hotel

2 October 3 - Faial 09h30 pick up at the Hotel for a Full day Faial. Depart in direction of the viewpoint of Espalamaca. Continue by the mountain road overlooking the valley of Flamengos until Caldeira, the highest point on the island. Continue in direction of Capelinhos passing by Praia do Norte. Stop at Capelinhos (the remains of the last volcanic eruption in the Azores, 1957). Return to Horta along the coast. Includes a stop for lunch and visit to the Interpretation Center of Capelinhos Volcano. Lunch: typical lunch included Return to the Hotel Dinner: Restaurant Capitolio October 4 Faial / Sao Miguel Check-out from Hotel. Transfer out by bus with local assistance from Hotel to the airport Flight Faial to Ponta Delgada Arrive Sao Miguel, transfer by bus with local assistance to the Hotel Marina Atlantico Free afternoon. Diner: Free dinner

3 October 5 São Miguel 09h30 pick up at the Hotel for a Half day Tour to Sete Cidades S. Miguel's half day tour of Sete Cidades departs from the hotel or cruise ship via the mountain road towards the twin lakes of Sete Cidades. The tour stops at the breathtaking viewpoint of Vista do Rei. Returns along the west coast. Stops in Capelas and visits the unique green house raised pineapple plantation Free afternoon Dinner : Restaurant Nacional ( transfers included) October 6 São Miguel 09h30 pick up at the Hotel for a Full day Tour to Furnas Full day tour of Furnas. Departure from Ponta Delgada to Furnas via the north road; Stop at Ribeira Grande; visit the only tea plantation in Europe. Stop at Pico do Ferro, a belvedere with a great view to Furnas Valley. Arrive at Furnas Valley passing by the Lagoa das Furnas Lake in the way to the Village. Stop for savor the typical and delicious lunch in Furnas. Visit the beautiful and renowned Terra Nostra botanical garden. Lunch: Typical lunch Cozido included. For this meal we need to have a reservation. Visit to the Botanical Park Terra Nostra Return via the south passing by Vila Franca do Campo with stop at the Santa Iria viewpoint. Dinner: Hotel

4 October 7 São Miguel Free morning 13h00 Whale watching trip with duration of 3 hours. Company based just across the Hotel. Diner: Restaurant across the street from the hotel October 8 São Miguel Free day and free dinner to explore on your own and take a break from group touring.

5 October 9 - São Miguel 09h30 pick up at the hotel for a Half day Lagoa do Fogo The half day tour of Lagoa do Fogo departs from the hotel and heads to the city of Ribeira Grande. The tour makes a short stop in Ribeira Grande. Continue by way of a mountain road towards the beautiful lake of Lagoa do Fogo (Fire Lake). Stop at a 900 meter high viewpoint to view the island and Lake. Continue southward towards the village of Lagoa. Visit the local ceramic factory. Free lunch and rest of the day for shopping Dinner: Restaurant with group of traditional folk singing and dancing. Day 10 Sao Miguel / Boston Check out from the Hotel Transfer from the Hotel to the airport, bus + local assistance. Notes: Half day tours : duration of 4 hours Full day Tours : duration 7 to 7h30 hours Restaurants all at walking distance. However, included is one transfer to Restaurante Nacional, about 10 minutes from the Hotel Suggest bringing some warm clothes in case of crispy nights and ferry trips and your bathing suites
