7 Cognos Web Reports Installation and Setup Guide Overview The CPM web reporting utility is based on the Cognos Impromptu Web Reports (IWR) application package. CPM web reports and IWR are supported on Windows NT, Windows 2000 and optional web gateway, Sun Solaris 8. Depending on your business environment, CPM web reports using IWR can support mixed OS environments. For example, you can have an Apache Web Server with the IWR gateway (IWR Web Files) files installed on Sun Solaris and remaining CPM web reports/iwr software installed on Windows NT or Windows Note Before installing Cognos Impromptu, you need to set up a user account on the transaction database that allows Read Only access for Cognos. This is the user account for which you are prompted during the following installation steps. The Cognos IWR application stores this username and password in plain text in the cognos.ini file. This version of Cognos Web Reports has the following standard reports. Credit Card Transactions This report lists all the credit card transactions for a given merchant during a defined time period. Credit Card Transactions with User Defined Fields This report lists all the credit card transactions and user defined fields for a given merchant during a defined time period. This report is designed for exporting the data to a text file or Excel. Credit Card Settlement This report lists the details about all credit card settlement batches for a given merchant during a defined time period. Credit Card Failed to Settle This reports lists all the credit card transactions that were denied during the settlement for a given merchant during a defined time period. Unused Credit Card Authorizations This report lists all the credit card authorizations that occurred that were not followed by a capture transaction during a defined time period. 8 Hardware and Software Requirements ACH Transactions with User Defined Fields This report lists all the ACH transactions and user defined fields for a given merchant during a defined time period. This report is designed for exporting the data to a text file or Excel. ACH Settlement This report lists the details about all ACH settlement batches for a given merchant during a defined time period. CPM Server Messages This report lists the error messages, warnings, and trace messages logged by the CPM Server. SequenceNumbers This is a sub-report used by Unused Credit Card Authorizations report. About this Guide This guide outlines software and hardware requirements and installation instructions. Cognos IWR is designed to be scalable. This means that different components can be installed on different machines allowing for both the power of multiple machines and fail over processing. For more information, refer to the Cognos Installation and Configuration Guidelines. For Cognos IWR administration information, refer to the included Cognos documentation or contact the Cognos Help Desk. 9 Chapter 1 &RJQRV:HE5HSRUWV,QVWDOODWLRQDQG6HWXS*XLGH Windows NT or Windows 2000 installation Installing CyberSource Web Reports consists of the following steps: 1 Install and configuring Netscape Directory Server Install the Cognos Impromptu Administrator. 3 Install Cognos Impromptu Web Reports. 4 Install Cybersource Web Reports. Install and Configure Netscape Directory Server 4.2 Install Netscape Directory Server 1 Insert the CyberSource Web Reports CD. 2 Select Install Netscape Directory Server At the Welcome screen, click Next. 4 Accept the software license agreement by clicking Yes. 5 Under Select Server or Console Installation, select Netscape Servers and click Next. 6 Select Typical installation type and click Next. 7 Select the default installation directory C:\Netscape\Server 4 and click Next. 8 Select Netscape Server Core Components, Directory Suite, and Administrator Services, then click Next. 9 Select This instance will be the configuration directory server and click Next. 10 Select Store data in this directory server and click Next. 11 Enter the following General Server Settings: Server Identifier: <servername>2 It is critical that you add the number 2 to this field. Server Port: 390 Suffix: o=cognos, c=ca 12 Click Next when finished. 13 Enter the following Directory Server administrator settings: Configuration Directory Administrator ID: admin Password: admin1234 Confirm Password: admin Click Next when finished. 15 Enter <domainname> as the Directory Server Administration Domain. 16 Click Next when finished. 10 Windows NT or Windows 2000 installation 17 Enter the following Directory Manager settings: Directory Manager DN: cn=directory Manager Password: admin1234 Confirm Password: admin Click Next when finished. 19 Confirm the Administration Server port number. Write this number down. You may need it for a later procedure. 20 Click Next when finished. 21 In the Server Configuration Summary, click Next to begin the setup. Note If prompted to replace files, click No to All. 22 When setup is complete, click Finish. 23 If you are installing on Windows NT, restart the computer at the prompt. You are not prompted to restart on Windows Create the Netscape Directory Server Instance 1 From the Desktop, select Start, Programs, Netscape Server Products, and Netscape Console Enter the following username and password to login to the Netscape Directory Server and click OK. UserName: admin Password: admin In the Directory Server, select the Console tab. 4 Expand to locate your domain under the domain and local domain. 5 Right click on Server Group and select Create Instance Of. 6 Select Netscape Directory Server. 7 In the Netscape Directory Server Installation dialog, make the following modifications: Server Identifier : <servername> Do not include the number 2 in this step. Network Port: 389 Base Suffix: o=cognos,c=ca Root DN : cn=directory Manager Password for Root DN: admin1234 Confirm Password: admin CyberSource Corporation

Install the Cognos Impromptu Administrator 1 In the CPM Reports installation screen, select Install Cognos Impromptu Administrator. 2 At the Welcome screen, click Next. 3 Follow the prompts and enter the requested user information. 4 Select the default software destination. 5 Select Typical installation and click Next. 6 Select the default documentation folder. 7 Click Finish to start the installation. Install Cognos Impromptu Web Reports Note Before installing the IWR software, make sure you have administration privileges on the target computer. Depending on your setup, you may need to create a system TEMP variable to complete the installation. Refer to the Windows NT or Windows 2000 documentation for more information. 1 Insert the CyberSource Web Reports CD. 2 Select Install Cognos Impromptu Web Reports. 3 At the Welcome screen, click Next. 4 Accept the Software License Agreement by clicking Yes. 5 Enter the required User Information and click Next. 6 In the Presetup Information screen, click Next. 7 Accept the default Application destination folder and click Next. 8 Accept the default documentation destination folder and click Next. 9 Select Typical as the installation type and click Next. 10 Accept the default Cognos Data Store installation folder and click Next. 11 Under Service Account, select your local computer under domain and the Administration Account under Account for that domain. Make sure Select an Existing Account option is enabled. Click Next. 12 Enter the password for the user account. Note An information dialog appears that warns of changes to your operating environment. Click OK to proceed. 13 Reboot the computer when the installation process is complete. Cognos Web Reports Installation and Setup Guide October

12 Publish the Reports Install Cybersource Web Reports 1 In the CyberSource installation screen, select Install CyberSource Web Reports. 2 Accept the license agreement by clicking Yes. 3 Follow the instructions in the installation wizard and enter the following information at the prompts: Drive destination, for example c:\ CPM database user ID CPM database password DSN name 4 Click Finished when the installation process is complete. Publish the Reports 1 From the Desktop, select Programs > Cognos BI > Administration > Impromptu Web Reports-Report Administration. 2 Login to Cognos Impromptu as administrator with no password. 3 In the Report Administrator screen, select Tools and Publish Report Set. 4 Select New Report Set. 5 Under Report Set Name, enter a name for the set, such as CPM Web Reports. 6 Type the path to the report set s location: <drive letter>:\program files\cognos\cer1\report store 7 Type the following: <drive letter>:\program files\cognos\cer1\posting folder\cybersource web reports (<database>).plp Database can only be Oracle, Sybase, or MsSql.plp. 8 Verify the information and click OK. This publishes the reports to the target directories. Setting up the CPM Reports 1 From the Menu bar, select View, Refresh All. 2 Select Published_CyberSourceReports. 3 Select View, All Reports and Events. 4 Under the General tab, select Show to Consumer. 5 From the Menu bar, select Action, Save. 6 Select one or all of the reports, then click the Output tab. 7 Select Personal as the Report Type and Run as the Default Action. 8 From the Menu bar, select Action, Save. 6 CyberSource Corporation

13 Chapter 1 &RJQRV:HE5HSRUWV,QVWDOODWLRQDQG6HWXS*XLGH 9 Repeat steps 4 through 6 for each CPM report except for the SequenceNumbers report. 10 For the SequenceNumbers report, on the General tab disable Show to Customer. From the Menu bar, select Action, Save. 11 Click the Output tab for Sequence Numbers. 12 Check Hot File. 13 In the text box, type SequenceNumbers.ims and click Save. 14 Select Unused Credit Card Authorization Report. 15 Click the Dependencies Tab. 16 Select Report Option. 17 Click Browse. 18 Select Sequence Numbers and click OK. 19 Click Action and then Save. 20 Click on the View menu and select Report Project. 21 Select the Report set name. 22 Under Database Logon Type, select User. 23 Select Yes at the prompt. 24 Click on Save. 25 Exit the Report Administrator. Test the Reports 1 Open a web browser and enter the following URL: 2 In the selection menu on the left side of the window, select Reporting. 3 At the CPM Screen, login as Administrator with no password. 4 Select Creator for the User Class list, click OK. 5 Click Start. 6 In the Impromptu Web Reports screen, verify that your reports appear. 14 Installing the Unix Gateway The Unix Gateway allows you to connect a Unix Web server to a Windows-based Cognos IWR server. The Web server and the gateway must be installed on the same Unix computer. After installing the Unix Gateway, you must configure your Web server. Create the virtual directories listed in the following table: This includes creating the following virtual directories. Table 1 Virtual Directories for Unix Alias Directory Permission /cognos /cognos/help /cognos/cgi-bin <installation directory>/cer1/ webcontent <installation directory>/cer1/ documentation/html <installation directory>/cer1/cgibin Read Read Execute Refer to your Web server documentation for more information. 1 Log in as administrator to the server hosting the Web server. 1 Locate the /se_gateway_install/iwr6.0-solaris xx directory on the Impromptu Web Reports CD. 2 At the prompt, type./install 3 Type y to accept the licensing agreement. 4 Accept the default installation directory. 5 At the prompts enter or verify the following information. Default Namespace: default Directory Server Hostname: <servername> Directory Server Port: 389 Base DN: o=cognos,ca Cognos IWR Server Hostnames: <servername1>,<servername2> Cognos IWR Server Port: Configure your Web server. 8 CyberSource Corporation
