(2) Spain issued online gaming licences for all products (except slots) effective from 1 June The Spanish tax authority has required that online operators with customers in Spain pay taxes retrospectively under two historic laws that previously were not applied to offshore online gaming. Having completed a selfassessment in accordance with the Spanish tax authority s requirements, the Group has incurred costs of 2.2 million (including surcharges, interest and related professional fees) in relation to these retrospective taxes.
