3 Battery Precautions n Easi-Cars and remote controls are powered by NiMH battery packs which are not user replaceable. n Do not attempt to remove the battery packs. Care & maintenance n If necessary, wipe the Easi-Cars gently with a clean damp cloth. n Keep the Easi-Cars away from direct sunlight and heat. n Do not allow the Easi-Cars to come into contact with water or other liquids. n In the event of static, your Easi-Car may malfunction. In this case, please switch it off and then back on again to reset it. Children will love this fantastic set of four rainbow remote control cars. Their appealing shape and design will have instant appeal. The cars come in bright colours with corresponding remote controls. All four cars can be used simultaneously as there is no worry about setting different frequencies. The two button control allows the cars to go forward and reverse to change direction. Use indoors and out, they re super for using with small world buildings, following different routes, races or just exploring and developing key ICT skills. We re delighted that this is a rechargeable resource. They don t need batteries. Simply place the cars back on the docking station, recharge and go. 5 Recharging Your Easi-Cars and Remotes n Insert the battery charger cable into the charging socket on the side of the docking station. n Plug the battery charger into a wall socket. n Place the Easi-Cars and remote controllers into the sockets. n The red LEDs on Easi-Cars and remotes will light up to show that the batteries are charging. n The red LEDs will turn off when fully charged. n It may take up to 12 hours to fully charge if the battery has been fully discharged. n Only charge your Easi-Cars and remotes in the docking station and only use the battery charger provided. n Once fully charged your Easi-Cars will have approx. 1.5 hours life (depending on the amount of movement). Using Your Easi-Cars Your Easi-Cars have been designed so that they can all operate simultaneously. They use four separate channels on 27MHz frequency. If you have more than 4 Easi-Cars, you will have to use them in separate rooms, because colours which are the same operate on the same channel. n To switch the Easi-Cars on, move the slide switch under the cars to the ON position. n You do not need to switch the remote controls on as they only operate when a button is pressed. n Press the top button on the remote control to move the Easi-Car of the same colour forwards in a straight line. n Press the lower button on the remote control to move the Easi-Car of the same colour backwards, whilst turning. n The colour of the buttons is not important, but the colour of the remote control must match the colour of the Easi-Car for it to operate.

6 Easi-Cars n If the Easi-Car does not move forwards in a straight line, adjust the straight line adjuster depending on the bias towards either direction. n When the batteries are low, the Easi-Cars will operate intermittently. Place them into the docking station to charge the batteries. 7 Troubleshooting Your Easi-Cars have been designed to work within an Early Years environment. However, it is not designed to be dropped or trodden on or otherwise mistreated. Under no circumstances should you open up the Easi-Cars or remote controls as this will invalidate your warranty.
