1 CONTEST Biscuits Leclerc Ltd " Why is it Santa s favourite cookie? " Official Rules The " Why is it Santa s favourite cookie? " contest (hereinafter called the "Contest") is run by Biscuits Leclerc Ltd (Hereinafter called the "Promoter"). The contest takes place online in Canada from 9:00 am [EST] November 17, 2016 until 11:59 pm [EST] January 10, Any reference in these Official Rules regarding the time refers to Eastern Standard Time [EST]. Limit of five (5) online entries per person, as well as five (5) shares on Facebook for one additional chance to win with each share. ELIGIBILITY 1. This contest is open to all residents of Canada who have reached the age of eighteen (18) years old as of November 17, Excluded are the corporation running the contest, Biscuits Leclerc Ltd, its subsidiaries and divisions, and its employees, representatives, agents, representatives of advertising or promotion agencies and all other companies associated with this contest, or jury members and, respectively, the people with whom they are domiciled. Participants agree to sign a declaration stating they are not employees, representatives or agents of Biscuits Leclerc Ltd or domiciled with an employee, representative or agent of Biscuits Leclerc Ltd. This statement will be included in the declaration and liability waiver. Participants must also state on the form their address, occupation and name of their employer to confirm that they are not among those excluded from participation in the contest. Upon request, potential winners must show valid photo identification to validate their name and address. 1

2 HOW TO PARTICIPATE How to enter: 2. To enter the Contest, visit and click on the contest banner that will redirect you to the contest microsite whyisthiscookiesogood.ca. Then, follow the instructions on the screen. Entries cannot be made other than through this website. Only one account or Facebook account per entrant, per address, and street address is permissible. The term "entrant" as defined in the Official Rules means an individual having just one address and street address. It is forbidden for an entrant to register via several addresses or street addresses. Moreover, the promoter reserves the right, at any time, to ask participants and winners to present their official identification with photo and address. Upon refusal to present official identification, the promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant. Steps to enter the contest 3. No purchase is necessary. Once you are on the contest microsite, follow the instructions. First, click on the Participate button, and then, click again on the Participate button. To enter the contest, we ask that you complete our taste survey and answer the questions. You will need to qualify the statement, on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the highest, using the cookie-shaped cursor. Once you have answered the questions, you have to register for the contest by entering your last name, first name and address in the fields provided. Following this, you need to accept the rules and click on the submit button. 4. Entries are cumulative for the duration of the Contest. All entries become the property of Biscuits Leclerc Ltd and will not be returned to participants. The odds of winning the prize depend on the number of eligible entries received. The registration process must be fully completed and you must accept the Official Rules before participating in the contest. If you do not accept to abide by the Official Rules, you will not be able to participate. 2

3 To be eligible, all online entries must be received no later than 11:59 pm (EST) on January 10, A participant may enter up to a total of five (5) times maximum, once (1) per day, and no purchase is required to participate. Each time, participants can also receive an extra chance to win by sharing on Facebook. Answer the bonus question and "Share" an image of your answer on FACEBOOK for an additional chance to win. 6. At the end of your participation, you can answer the following bonus question: In your own words, tell us why Celebration is Santa s favourite cookie? Enter your name and answer the question up to the maximum number of characters indicated in the box and click on the share button. The image of your answer will be generated and shared on your Facebook page. You will then automatically receive an extra chance to win the grand prize. One share per day per person for a maximum of 5 total shares. Prize There are five (5) Prizes offered with this contest. Five (5) names will be randomly selected from all entries received during the Contest Period. Each of the prizes to be won is: One (1) $2,000 gift card from Ivanhoé Cambridge shopping centres. The total value of the five (5) prizes is $10,000. The prize must be accepted as awarded. The prize may not be sold or transferred. No substitutions are possible. 3

4 The winner will receive his or her prize within thirty (30) days following receipt of the duly completed and signed declaration and release waiver. Contest Draw 7. On January 16, 2017, a random draw will be held from all eligible entries received between November 17, 2016 and January 10, This draw will determine the winners. To be eligible for the draw, each entry submitted online must have been received before 11:59 pm (EST) on January 10, 2017, the last day of the Contest Period. The draw will take place on January 16, 2017 at 10 am [EST] at the following address: André-Laurendeau street, Montréal (Qc), H1Y 3R6. The chances of participating and winning the prize depend on the number of eligible entries registered and received for the period mentioned above. PRIZE CLAIM 8. To be declared winners, participants eligible for a prize must comply with the following conditions: i) They must have met all the conditions described in these Official Rules. ii) They must be reached by telephone within fifteen (15) days following the draw by the Contest organizers at the number indicated on the entry after their code has been validated as a winner in the instant prize Contest, or within fifteen (15) days after the draw date in the case of the Facebook photo contest. iii) They must complete and return (by post, fax or , or as indicated) the declaration and liability waiver mentioned below, within fifteen (15) days of receipt or within the time stipulated by the promoter. 4

5 iv) They must correctly answer, unaided and within a limited time, the skill-testing mathematical question, which will appear on the declaration and liability waiver for these Official Rules. GENERAL CONDITIONS Failure to meet any of the conditions mentioned above, will automatically disqualify the eligible participant, who then forfeits any right to a prize. 9. Prizes will be awarded to the winners within thirty (30) days, as long as the Contest promoters have received the duly completed and signed declaration and release liability form. 10. Entries are subject to verification by the Contest organizers. All entries that are incomplete, fraudulent, illegible, non-compliant with these Official Rules or received after the Contest period will be automatically rejected. The organizers' decision to this effect is final and without appeal. All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned. 11. Prizes must be accepted as described in these Official Rules. The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize with another of equal or greater value if the prize cannot be awarded as described. PERSONAL INFORMATION 12. By entering this Contest, entrants consent to the collection, use and disclosure of their personal information by the Sponsor and/or authorized agents for the purposes of administering the Contest and awarding the prize. By accepting a prize, winners consent to the use and disclosure to the public of their names, addresses (city, province), voices, statements and photographs or other likenesses for publicity purposes in connection with the Contest in any media or formats, including but not limited to the Internet, without notice, permission or compensation. Except as otherwise set out in these Official Rules, no communication, commercial or otherwise, that is not related to this Contest, will be sent to entrants by the Sponsor, except if the entrant has otherwise authorised the Sponsor, or its affiliated companies, when appropriate to do so. Personal information will not otherwise be used or disclosed without consent. RELEASES 5

The selected entrant releases the Sponsor, as well as its affiliates, advertising and promotional agencies, their partners, their employees, agents and representatives from all responsibility for any damage that could result from the acceptance, and/or use (or non-acceptance or non-use) of his or her prize. In order to be declared a winner, and prior to receiving his or her prize, the selected entrant agrees to sign a standard declaration and release form to this effect. The selected entrant acknowledges that upon receipt of a prize, the execution of services and product quality become the sole and exclusive responsibility of the prize supplier and relevant guarantees will be the exclusive responsibility of the prize manufacturers, suppliers, distributors or retailers. To be declared a winner and prior to receiving his or her prize, the selected entrant agrees to sign a statement to that effect, which will be included in the declaration and liability waiver. The Contest organizers and Sponsor are released from all responsibility related to the malfunctioning of any software components, software, lines of communication related to the loss or absence of the communication network, or related to any failed, misdirected, incomplete, illegible, or erased transmission by any computer, fax or network, and which could limit or prevent the possibility of any person from entering the Contest. The Contest organizers and Sponsor are released from all responsibility for any damage or loss whatsoever that could be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, by downloading any software and by the transmission of any information required for entry in the Contest. Biscuits Leclerc Ltd releases all stores and chains from any liability relating to this Contest. GENERAL CONDITIONS 14. For the purposes of these Official Rules, the entrant is the person whose name is registered as an entrant on the Contest site. It is this said person who will be asked the mathematical skill-testing question and to whom the prize will be awarded if they are declared the winner. 15. No correspondence will be entered into except with potential winners. This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws. 16. The Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to exclude from this Contest and any future Contest or promotion held by the Sponsor, any person convicted or suspected of having tampered with the processing of ballots or running of the Contest or the Contest Website, violating the Official Rules or 6

7 acting unfairly or destructively, or with the intent to harass, torment, threaten or harass another person. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. RIGHT TO TERMINATE 17. The Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to annul, terminate, extend or suspend this Contest, in whole or in part, in the event of a virus, software bug, unauthorized human intervention or any other cause beyond the control of the Sponsor, which could corrupt or affect the administration, security, impartiality or normal running of this Contest. 18. Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et de jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement. 19. In the event of any conflict between the French and English versions of the present document, the French version of these regulations shall prevail. 20. The contest rules are available at 7
