Calibrations are more accurate when fabric or stabilizer is in the hoop with the template). Select Bella Embroidery Design #15 and move (drag & drop) to the upper portion of the hoop. Select Add (in the layers section). Select Bella Embroidery Design #21. Drag & Drop below the first design and select the information icon. Select Mirror Image Up/Down. Rotate 38º. Reposition the motif if necessary BERNINA of America, Inc. Page 2 of 8
3 Select Add. Select Bella Embroidery Design #19. Resize to 90% and move into position. Select the bottom layer (to select all motifs). Select Move and Select the Centering Icon (830: touch the move icon 2 times to center). Close the information menu. Select the Needle. Select Resequence to combine color changes. The large paisley is an appliqué design use the printed appliqué patterns included in the Bella Morocco Collection to print and cut the fabric with scissors OR load the corresponding cut file to the machine and use the cutwork tool to cut the paisley. The Paisley design has two appliqué sections, but only the largest paisley was appliquéd. Embroider, adding the appliqué when needed. Select the single option when the embroidery is complete. Unhoop, remove excess stabilizer and trim to 12 x 22. Creating the Endless Embroidery Strips Select one of the colored fabrics (lightest green in runner). Apply Fuse and Fleece to the wrong side enough for the Mega Hoop and at least 22 tall. Use the Master Hooper to hoop 1 layer of Ultra Clean & Tearaway stabilizer with the fused fabric. Calibrate the Mega Hoop to the machine. Select Bella Embroidery Design #40. Select the Hoop Selection Icon and select the Mega Hoop. Open the i. i breadcrumb Select the Endless Embroidery icon. Increase the number of motifs to 2. Select Fit to Hoop. Deactivate both reference marks. Check to Confirm. Enlarge the design to 111%. Drag & Drop the design to the left side of the hoop. Each measures 5 (finished). Select designs and resize to make a 5 block. Resize designs to be mm using the size indicator on the screen. Each of the blocks are stitched on cream fabric backed with fuse and fleece. Fuse fabric and cut into 7 squares. After setting up the design engage the basting box (motif) and baste the square to the hooped stabilizer in the oval hoop. Block 1 Select Design #4 and Rescale to 150%; embroider. Omit the appliqué fabric when stitching. Block 2 Select Design #21, Rescale 80%, embroider. Block 3 Select Design #19. Select i and Rescale to 90%. Add Design #45. Rescale to 84%. Reactivate the Thread Cutter after the stitches have stitched. Design #10 is an appliqué design use the printed appliqué patterns included in the Bella Morocco Collection to print and cut the fabric with scissors OR load the corresponding cut file to the machine and use the cutwork tool to cut the paisley. 8 The Ruffle Attach Foot #57D. Cut 2 strips of the spring green fabric 11 x 33. Fold lengthwise and press wrong sides together. Stitch side seams ¼ right sides together and turn. Set the straight stitch length to 6 using the Stitch Length Knob. Stitch across the raw edges of the green fabric with a ¼ seam allowance leaving thread tails at the beginning and end of the seam. Pull up gathers to fit the runner. Select Clear (CLR) to reset the straight stitch. Pin the ruffle to the panel beginning and ending ¼ away from the edge of the runner (right sides together). Sew the ruffle to the runner ends. Finishing Measure the panel (not including the ruffle) and cut the backing fabric to match; this should be about 21½ x 47½. Place the backing on the panel right sides together. Pin the ruffle away from seams. Attach Dual Feed Patchwork Foot #37D. Stitch around the runner leaving an opening along one of the ruffle edges. The seam allowance for the long sides is ¼ while the seam allowance for the short sides is ⅜ or enough to cover the gathering stitch line. Turn the runner right side out and press. Close the opening with a whip stitch or use Edgestitch Foot #10D to stitch in the ditch catching the open seam or topstitch from the top side. Press and crease the ruffled edges so they lay flat. Enjoy! 2013 BERNINA of America, Inc. Page 8 of 8
