1 21 st Steering Group Meeting of the ADB/OECD Anti-Corruption Initiative for Asia and the Pacific Thimphu, Bhutan 8 November 2016 Agenda StG21-1 Meeting objectives The objectives of the 21 st Steering Group meeting of the ADB/OECD Anti-Corruption Initiative for Asia and the Pacific are to: 1) Hear and discuss presentations on recent reports of the OECD Anti-Corruption Network in Eastern Europe and Central Asia and Integrity Reviews of Kazakhstan, Thailand, and Indonesia; 2) Hear report from the Secretariat; 3) Discuss the Initiative s programme of work for ; and 4) Hear Anti-Corruption Commission of Bhutan, Steering Group, Observers, and Advisory Group present recent anti-corruption work and future priorities. The meeting will be chaired by representative(s) of the Royal Government of Bhutan and Anti- Corruption Commission of Bhutan, ADB, and OECD. All sessions are open to attendance by Steering Group members, Advisory Group members, and observers only. Adoption of the 21 st Steering Group Meeting Agenda Reference Documents: StG21-1: Draft Agenda of the 21 st Steering Group Meeting (this document) StG21-2: Preliminary List of Participants of the 21 st Steering Group Meeting 9:30 10:00 Report on Anti-Corruption Reforms in Eastern Europe and Central Asia In September 2016, the OECD Anti-Corruption Network for Eastern Europe and Central Asia (ACN) will publish a new report "Anti-Corruption Reforms in Eastern Europe and Central Asia: Progress and Challenges, " that analyses trends and proposes recommendations regarding effective anti-corruption policies and institutions, anti-corruption legislation and its enforcement, and prevention of corruption in the public administration and in business. During this session, the ACN Secretariat will present this report to the Initiative s members. 3 10:45 11:45 Country Scoping Exercises: Lessons from Kazakhstan, Thailand, and Indonesia Throughout 2016, three country scoping exercises are being completed in Kazakhstan, Thailand and Indonesia under the ADB/OECD Anti-Corruption Initiative for Asia and the Pacific. Building on the review methodology and process presented last year, this session will provide an update on the status and outputs of these country assessments and share a number of reflections on the relevance for the Initiative. Each presentation is limited to a maximum of 10 minutes and will be followed by a discussion session.
