My child came home every day happy and invigorated with the new life experiences he had been exposed to in this program. Students will have the opportunity to discover the world we live in as they interact with our exciting special guest presenters and participate in our off campus adventures. Fabulous Fridays are a time for parents to share in the fun as we celebrate the weekly theme through performances, parades and parties. Each unique week is action packed and full of fun! We look forward to a great summer with your child as they attend The Whitworth School Summer Camp 2015!

3 Summer Session #1 June 29th, 2015 July 31st, 2015 Week 1 Stars & Stripes June 29th July 3rd Students will learn songs, decorate their bikes and faces, have a parade, tie die bandanas and play old-fashioned games while having fun celebrating the birthday of our country! Students will swim at Hart Park. Week 2 Tropical Paradise July 6th July 10th Students will learn more about our marine life while making shadow boxes, cooking, creating game boards, and having fun creating ocean art. Students will also swim and visit Long Beach Aquarium. My twins loved The Whitworth School Summer Camp with their art projects, weekly field trips and making academics fun! As a parent I enjoyed their enthusiasm for school and growth in confidence and independence in just two months. Week 3 Radical Robots July 13th July 17th Students will explore forces in motion. They will learn more about making movies, make robot art using recycled materials and build movable toys using Connects and Legos. They will swim and visit the Kidspace Museum in Pasadena. I was extremely pleased she was able to combine fun activities and academics at her level. My 4-year-old daughter had so much fun and never wanted to leave! Week 4 Star Search July 20th July 24th Students will explore the stars and our solar system through art and games. They will swim and visit Tessmann Planetarium. They will also create a Talent Show and become their own stars! Week 5 Outback Survival July 27th July 31st Students will get to learn more about survival in the wild. They will learn about edible plants, have fun on a scavenger hunt, go on hikes and explore through art and music. Students will swim and have fun at Jump-n-Jammin (K-3rd) or indoor rock climbing (4th and up).

4 Summer Session #2 August 3rd, 2015 August 28th, 2015 Week 6 Under the Big Top August 3rd August 7th Students will practice gymnastics, acrobatics, juggling and ball skills while perfecting their circus talents. They will create circus art, swim and make up their own circus skits. Week 7 Planes, Trains and Automobiles August 10h Augusts 14h Students will create things that move and fly. They will get to swim and to visit John Wayne Airport, Lyon Air Museum and Marconi Auto Museum. Week 8 A Bug s Life August 17h August 21st Students will learn more about the life cycle of several bugs, make bug art and go on insect hunts. They will get to go on a bug safari. Registration Information Registration Fee A one-time, non-refundable registration fee of $50.00 will be charged at the time of registration. The registration fee covers general supplies, camper materials and a child s camp t-shirt. Payments Summer Session #1 (weeks 1 5) fees are due June 1st, Summer Session #2 (weeks 6 9) fees are due July 1st, Discounts A 5% discount will be offered to those families signing up for the full month of session. Academic Enrichment Program (9am-12pm) $150 per child per week. Academic Enrichment Program & Camp (9am-4pm) $290 per child per week. Week 9 Spy CSI August 24h August 28th Students will learn how to send secret messages, more about codes, how to make invisible ink and have fun with solving mysteries. They will get to visit the Sheriff Museum in San Diego and have a detective dress up day. The summer program provides an excellent, structured balance of continued education and fun, hands-on activities.

Projects are done by students in order to apply what they have learned. The product is an all-inclusive education of the subject creating certainty, confidence and competance. Our purpose is to empower young minds with effective study skills, give them certainty of their academic basics, a strong sense of personal ethics and integrity and the ability to use logic and reason in life.
