2 Our race would not be possible without our hard working Volunteers. Please remember to thank all the Volunteers you meet on race day. Weather Policy: We are guests in a City of Calgary park. Should bad weather risk damaging the park compromising the conditions of our permit, the event will be cancelled at the discretion of the organizers. We d like to run the event rain or shine, but the reality of the situation is that we have to be mindful of potential damage to the park and its impact on all user groups. Rider Conduct: Unsportsmanlike & unbecoming conduct will not be tolerated this includes the use of profane language and any verbal abuse of officials, organizers, and volunteers. Officials & Organizers retain the right to assess penalties, fines and/or disqualify riders from the race as deemed necessary. Registration Registration for bici Park Cross is available on Zone4.ca for UCI/ABA licensed riders until September 9, 10:00am. Junior =$25 All others = $30 THERE IS NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION. Licensing All participants must have either a current ABA or UCI race license. For those who don t have a license, Single Event Day Licenses may be purchased for $10 on Zone 4 during registration. Categories Categories for licensed riders are as below. New cross racers will compete in the cyclocross category corresponding to their respective Road or Mountain Bike category, whichever is higher. Knight Paramedical Services will be on site during the event. If it is not an emergency, there is urgent care available at Rockyview General Hospital (approx. 5 km away from the venue.) 5 Course Pre-ride Pre-ride will start around 8:30am as well as between races. Do not ride the course when other categories are racing. Check with the commissaires before entering the course after 9:30am. Please only enter the course from the Finish Area to do a pre ride. Body Numbers, License Check & Call-ups 2 shoulder numbers and 1 body number are to be placed in the middle of your lower back. Your ABA cyclocross numbers are yours for the season. Please bring pins. If you do not have body numbers, the ABA will provide them on race day. You will get your new number at license check on race day if haven't already gotten it at a previous race. License check begins at 8:30am and ends 30 minutes before the start of your race. Failure to bring your license or race number may result in a $10.00 fine. Up to 8 riders per race will be called up for the start of each race. Bikes, Equipment & Rules Elite Men, Expert men and Open Women and Sport Men racers may only ride on cyclocross bikes. Novice Men and Sport Women Racers can use cyclocross or mountain bikes. Competitors must wear a CCA approved helmet at all times while racing and riding around the grounds. Mechanical/Feed Zone If the temperature on race day is above 20 C, feeding will be allowed after the first two laps. The feed zone will be located in the same place as the mechanical zone. In the mechanical zone you can leave spare wheels, bikes, or anything else you might need. Make sure you label your stuff and collect it after your race. bicisport will not be held responsible for anything lost or stolen. Food, Beverage, And Your Garbage You are responsible for providing your own hydration. There is NO ONSITE RUNNING WATER. We are all responsible for helping keep the racing area clean. Please throw your garbage away in the provided containers or take it home with you. This event will be run according to ABA/UCI regulations. Riders are responsible to know and understand these rules. Anti-doping: the ABA complies with and fully supports the UCI anti-doping regulations, the clauses of the World Anti-doping Code and its international Standards to which the UCI anti-doping regulations refer and to the anti-doping regulations of other competent bodies per the regulations of the UCI.

6 Washrooms Porta potties will be located near the parking lot closest the start-finish area. Prizing We will have cash prizes for the top 3 riders in all categories. Awards will be done as soon as possible following each race.
