3 2020 VISION Contributing to the further development of the people who are part of Universidad Austral Universidad Austral s Community- enhancing the University s contribution to society, both locally and, increasingly, internationally. To this end, we intend to: A. Further strengthen the quality of our academic offering (personalized teaching, research, and knowledge transfer), with a special focus on innovation. B. Work with an emphasis on coordinating and leveraging synergy and cross-disciplinary opportunities in both academic undertakings and operation management. C. Advance professionalization in all management areas and process, incorporating the notion of business sustainability in all endeavors.

4 MILESTONES 1977 Creation of ACES, Asociación Civil de Estudios Superiores, owner of Universidad Austral IAE Business School was founded The School of Business Sciences opened in Rosario School of Communications Engineering School and the Institute for Family Sciences Law School School of Biomedical Sciences The Pilar Campus is inaugurated with IAE Business School s move to the new site The School of Biomedical Sciences moved to the Pilar Campus Austral University Hospital was inaugurated at the Pilar Campus UA became Argentina s first private university to secure its autonomy according to the Higher Education Act (Law 24,521) The University opened its Sports Field Austral Science, Technology and Business Park Philosophy Institute UA s Engineering School moved to the Pilar Campus All other UA Schools relocated at the Pilar Campus. 15 EDUCATION ADVANCING PUBLIC-PRIVATE EDUCATION IN PILAR First local collective training initiative for 300 officials, teachers and inspectors from public and private institutions. HEALTHCARE FREE CLINIC IN DERQUI S LOW-INCOME AREA Primary healthcare services for individual and collective health improvement at Monterrey neighborhood (Derqui). 1,100 families served. School support for local children. ECONOMICS ELECTRICAL POWER GENERATOR PROJECT FOR LOW-INCOME AREA A electricity power steam generator was designed to reduce energy costs at a lowincome neighborhood. Currently, corporate support is sought to launch the project.

16 FAMILIA EL ROCÍO FAMILY ORIENTATION CENTER (PILAR) This is the first family counsel center in Buenos Aires Province. 40 low-income families receive support to manage critical situations or legal conflicts. The center also provides family education and literacy workshops, as well as inter-disciplinary assistance to 20 children with learning disabilities. A job bank offers jobs at the Industrial Park for neighborhood residents. DISCUSSION FORUM ON FAMILY ISSUES In 2015, the Buenos Aires City s Council discussed the Violence in Society topic, with three representatives from the leading political parties. In 2016, the discussion topic will look at Senior Citizens from a Social and Political Approach. SENIOR CITIZENS INCLUSION Mass media campaign carried out with La Nación Newspaper Foundation to promote senior citizens inclusion in family life and revalued role in society.
