1 A really good hint for others trying the shakes, make them with the V8 fusion juices or even the Wal Mart version and add 1 cup of frozen fruit to the protein powder. This way you have a cold smoothie and do not need to add the water or ice. This also makes it about 2 cups when blended so you feel like it s a treat. Even my kids ask for a cup of smoothie to start their day! Lemon / Vanilla Blast 2 oz Lemon Juice 5 oz water or iced green tea (for some extra caffeine) Ice Shake in a Martini Shaker to Mix it Up Really Well Orange / Vanilla Blast substitute Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice for Lemon Juice 2

Blend on medium speed for 15 seconds. Add pudding mix and banana extract; blend on high speed until thick and creamy for about 45 seconds. Scrape down sides of bowl. Line dessert bowl with whipped topping and fill the center with mixture. Chill in refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. Pina Colada Shake 1 scoop LEAN 1/4 tsp. coconut extract 1/4cup low fat milk 1 cup water 1/2 cup pineapple chunks 3 ice cubes Place all ingredients, except ice cubes in a blender and blend at medium speed for about 30 seconds. Add ice cubes and blend on high for about 30 or more seconds until shake is completely blended. Pour into tall glass and serve. 4

5 5 Carrot Cake Muffin 1 cup whole wheat flour 1 cup enriched all purpose flour 2 tsp. baking soda 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 3/4 cup wheat germ 1/2 cup SPLENDA Granular sweetener 4 1/2 cups LEAN powder 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce 3/4 cup low fat or nonfat milk 4 egg whites 1/4 cup canola oil 2 cups fresh shredded carrots Directions: Serving size is one muffin. Recipe makes 12 muffins. Preheat oven to 370 degrees. Lightly coat muffin pan with cooking spray. In a large mixing bowl, mix together flour, baking soda and cinnamon; then add the wheat germ, sugar substitute and protein powder. Stir to combine. In another bowl, combine applesauce, milk, egg whites and oil. Pour applesauce mixture into flour mixture. Stir until all ingredients are moistened (batter will be lumpy). Then gently fold in carrots until evenly combined. Spoon batter into muffin pan until each cup is almost full. Bake about 18 minutes, or until golden and a wooden toothpick inserted in the center of muffin comes out clean. Nutty Vanilla Pudding 1/2 cup low fat milk 1/2scoop LEAN powder 1 tbsp. vanilla fat free and sugar free pudding instant packet 1/2 tbsp. chopped walnuts Directions: Pour milk into blender and add protein powder. Blend on medium speed for 15 seconds. Add pudding mix and blend on high speed for about 45 seconds until thick and creamy. Scrape down sides as needed. Spoon mixture in a dessert bowl and chill in refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. Top pudding with walnuts and enjoy! Citrus-Lime Shake 1 scoop LEAN 2 tbsp. unsweetened orange juice 2 tsp. fresh lime juice 2 packets of Splenda 1 cup water ½ cup low fat milk 3 ice cubes Place all ingredients, except ice cubes in a blendedr and blend at medium speed for about 30 seconds. Add ice cubes and blend on high for about 30 more seconds until shake is completely blended. Pour into tall glass and serve.
