4 MUSEUM HOURS VISIT DOON HERITAGE VILLAGE Open for Season Museum Gallery Hours - Open Daily May 1 to September 1 Monday through Sunday: September 2 to December 31 Monday through Friday: Saturday and Sunday: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day). VILLAGE HOURS Doon Heritage Village is a picturesque 60 acre living history village that shows visitors what life was like in Waterloo Region in the year The village is open seasonally from May to December. The village comes to life with knowledgeable interpreters dressed in authentic 1914 clothing and features historic buildings, farm animals and fun activities the whole family will enjoy. One admission price includes entry to the museum exhibit galleries and the historic village. Doon Heritage Village Hours - Seasonal May 1 to September 1 Monday through Sunday: September 2 to December 23 Monday through Friday: 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday - Village Closed except for special events. (Doon Heritage Village last day of season is December 23).

The menu includes snack items including hot and cold beverages. Gift Shop Be sure to visit the museum gift shop to find one-of-a-kind souvenirs, toys and gift items. Accessibility Washrooms are fully accessible and can accommodate large groups and bus tours. The Waterloo Region Museum and the ground floors of most historic buildings are wheelchair accessible. We offer many services and assistive devices for visitors with disabilities. Please ask for our Guide to Access. Need a Unique Space for Your Event? The museum features unique community spaces including a stunning grand foyer that is perfect for receptions, a 114-seat theatre and three multi-purpose meeting rooms. The village features 60 acres that can easily accommodate groups of all sizes, as well as the Freeport Church that is available from May through mid-november for non-denominational events. International Museum Day Coffee with the Curator Sunday, May 18, 2 p.m. Get a behind the scenes tour of our artifact collection with Tom Reitz, Manager/Curator. $15 (plus HST. Waterloo Wellington Children s Groundwater Festival May 26 to 30 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Educational event featuring interactive activities, demonstrations and displays. VOLUNTEERS Volunteers Build Communities Volunteers enhance museum services by contributing their time, energy and skills to create a place where people can enjoy history. To learn more about how you can volunteer contact the Coordinator of Volunteer Services at ADVENTURES IN TIME Summer Camps Give your children a special treat this July or August by allowing them to travel back in time to the turn of the century.
