3 Creating an onboarding quiz and enabling it for proctoring Logging in and selecting your course Log in to Canvas Select your course from the Courses dropdown menu Page 3 of 25

4 Creating a New Quiz Select Quizzes (on left) Click + Quiz (on right) Create a quiz and name it exactly as Practice OnBoarding Quiz and add a sample question Name, questions, answers, etc. Make sure you click Save Once finished, click Publish Page 4 of 25

5 Select Proctortrack and enable proctoring 5. Select ProctorTrack (from left menu bar). This will take you to the Proctortrack instructor dashboard. Find your quiz and select Enable under Proctoring. If you do not see any quiz listed on the dashboard, that means Verificient does not have the correct API access token for your Canvas account. Please generate a new token (by clicking on settings on the top menu bar and following the token generation steps on that page), and let Verificient staff know the new token. Once your token is added in Verificient database, then these steps will need to be revisited. Your quiz should now be proctored! Note: If a student needs to take a test without proctoring, they will need the access code, which is shown in the third column in the Proctortrack instructor dashboard. This is an exceptional case where the access code will need to be manually delivered to the student. Page 5 of 25

6 Reviewing the results of a quiz, as an instructor Log into Canvas as an Instructor. Then click ProctorTrack (from the left menu bar). Click on the name of the quiz you wish to review. Page 6 of 25

7 Select and review a student s test report Select the student whose report you wish to view. You can now review the student s test, and review any incidents or infractions to determine if cheating actually occurred. To review an incident, click View Page 7 of 25

8 Then click Watch in Timeline The video on the left will jump to the point that the incident occurred. Once you ve finished the review process click Mark as Passed or Mark as failed. Page 8 of 25

9 Taking an Exam with Proctortrack 1. Find quiz in Quizzes section (on left) and click on the quiz you want to take. Page 9 of 25

10 2. Read through the Best Practices page, then CHECK the agreement box, and click Go To Next Step Page 10 of 25

12 4. Once the download has begun, Step Two is highlighted. Page 12 of 25

13 5. Unzip the downloaded App. Page 13 of 25

14 6. Run the Proctortrack Offline app and click Open button from the dialogue box displayed below. Page 14 of 25

15 7. Now check the Yes the app is now running checkbox in the Step Two, once proctortrack is running in the background. Page 15 of 25

16 8. Step 3 is highlighted, Click Connect to App. Page 16 of 25

17 9. Click on Launch Application button in the External Protocol Request window. Page 17 of 25

18 10. A system check will run, verifying that your system is ready. Once complete, click Go To Next Step Page 18 of 25

22 Check the box I agree to the terms and conditions and enter your digital signature. Then click LAUNCH MY TEST 13. Step 4 is highlighted, click on Go To Next Step Page 22 of 25

24 Once completed, click Submit Test 15. Close the Proctoring Session. Click the Click here to end proctoring link in the lower right corner. Check the box YES, I have COMPLETED the test. Check the box YES, I have SUBMITTED the test. and Click YES, end the proctoring Session You get the below screen which shows, the test being uploaded to the corresponding server. 16. 25 Note: If you have requested to skip proctoring and your instructor has given you an access code to take the quiz you can skip the verification process and go straight to the quiz. To do so, click Quizzes from the panel on the left. Instead of clicking Click Here, click the test name. Then click the Take the Quiz button. Enter your access code. Click Submit. Now you can take your test without proctoring. Page 25 of 25
