27 Approval Vancouver City Council Meeting, October 14, 2008 MOVED by Councillor Suzanne Anton A. THAT Council approve the implementation plan for Vancouver Sport for Life, the Vancouver Sport Strategy effective January 1, 2009, at an annual cost of $240,000; $140,000 to be provided internally by the Park Board through in-kind resources and $100,000 to be added to the 2009 operating budget without offset. B. THAT Council authorizes staff to seek additional funding support from other levels of government and participating organizations for the implementation of this initiative. CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY

29 Implementation Committee What s Happening Now VSS Implementation Committee Volunteers recruited Chair and Vice-Chair selected Terms of reference developed VSS Task Teams (6) Terms of reference developed Chairs selected, currently populating the task teams (4-6 per group) Top priority goals have been identified for each team Vancouver Sport Council Currently developing a governance structure and membership criteria Working towards incorporation & not for profit status
