Unfrtunately this level f knwledge is very rarely reflected in his assessment tasks including the yearly exam. did attend a study day in the hlidays and did study fr the yearly exam but this cnscientius attitude needs t be cnsistent thrughut the year t ensure he is cmpletely prepared and able t shw depth f knwledge in all shrt and extended respnse questins. needs t be encuraged t cmplete all set hmewrk and fllw a regular weekly study prgram which will assist with the preparatin necessary fr exams. Parents appreciate knwing what their child is ding at schl, especially if it is having a huge impact n their perfrmance. Suggestin make any cntact nw befre parent and teacher night if yu have any huge cncerns with students in yur class What des being prepared invlve? Planning!!! 10 Parent Teacher Interview What d I d with a difficult parent? Yu knw they will be difficult Yu aren t aware that they are difficult Have yur head teacher present Dn t have the student present until yu have spken with the parent Start psitive Have yur evidence ready Speak in a very calm vice Dn t engage in an argument Read their bdy language, if they dn t lk happy, signal fr yur Head Teacher If the student has been difficult in class, dn t have them present at first. Talk t the parent and then invite the student ver If it gets heated, remain clam, dn t argue and signal fr yur Head Teacher Preparatin is the best tl when dealing with a Difficult Parent What if there is a parent I really want t see? Send letters hme in advance abut the Parent & Teacher night, inviting them t see yu Make phne calls hme t parents and schedule a time fr the night If yu see a parent n the night and yu dn t have them dwn fr an interview, apprach them and schedule in a time.
