3 2 P a g e SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS You must use Mac OS X version 10.7 or greater. Older versions are no longer supported. You must use the Safari web browser; other web browsers are not supported and are not guaranteed to work properly with the Remote Access Portal. Both Java and the Citrix Receiver are also required and will be discussed in length throughout the rest of this guide.

4 3 P a g e INSTALLING JAVA 1. Navigate to 2. Click Free Java Download. **Please note that the version might be different from the version in the picture below. 3. Click Agree and Start Free Download. 4. The downloaded file referencing Java will either appear in the Download icon in the upper right corner of Safari or in the Downloads folder on the doc; click to open it.

5 4 P a g e 5. Double-click the icon in the resulting window to install Java. 6. If you receive the below prompt, then click OK. a. Next hold down the Control key and click on the install icon again. 7. If you receive the below prompt, then click Open. 8. Follow the prompts to complete the Java install process.

6 5 P a g e 9. Next we have to check what version of Mac OS X we are using. Click on the Apple icon in the upper left corner of the screen, and then click About This Mac. 10. If the version is or higher, then you must also navigate to the following link and download and install the file there: **Please note that OS X version 10.6 and lower are no longer supported.

7 6 P a g e INSTALLING THE CITRIX RECEIVER 1. If you have Mac OS X version 10.7, then download the Citrix Receiver from this link: 2. If you have Mac OS X version 10.8 or higher, then download the Citrix Receiver from this link instead:

The downloaded file referencing the Citrix Receiver will either appear in the Download icon in the upper right corner of Safari or in the Downloads folder on the dock, click to open it. 4. Double-click the Install Citrix Receiver icon to begin the installation. 11. If you receive the below prompt, then click OK. a. Next hold down the Control key and click on the install icon again.

9 8 P a g e 12. If you receive the below prompt, then click Open. 13. Follow the prompts to complete the Citrix Receiver install process. 14. If you receive a prompt to add an account, either click Continue or Cancel.

10 9 P a g e LOGGING INTO RAP AND CONFIGURING SAFARI 1. Navigate to 2. Make sure the Authentication Method is always set to PIN + token code to login to the full version of the Remote Access Portal. **Please note that logging into RAP with your Universal ID and Password will limit you to accessing the Employee Intranet, EMIL, Outlook Web, Sunrise Sandbox and mytime/kronos-manager access only. 3. Input your Universal ID. 4. If you are using an RSA Soft Token (Phone app) then input your pin into the app and then click the arrow to generate an 8 digit token code. Input only that 8 digit code into the Remote Access Portal under the PIN + TokenCode field without spaces. **Please note that since you put your pin into the phone, you do not need to input it again into RAP. 5. If you are using an RSA Hard Token (Keychain device) then input your pin combined with the 6 digit token code into the PIN + TokenCode field without spaces. 6. Now click Sign In.

11 10 P a g e 7. If you receive a prompt asking you to update Java at this point, make sure you follow it and install the update. 8. When you receive the following prompt, click Always. 9. The following prompt is normal, click OK

12 11 P a g e 10. Close the popup window below if it appears. 11. From the Safari menu in the upper left corner of the screen, click Preferences. 12. Click Security and then uncheck Block pop-up windows. 13. Now click Plug-in Settings 14. Click on Java.

13 12 P a g e 15. Under the rap.northshorelij.com entry, select Allow Always from the dropdown box so that a check mark appears next to it. 16. Now click Run in Unsafe Mode. 17. Click on Trust. 18. Return to the Remote Access Portal and click on Client Apps. 19. Click on Start next to the Java Secure Application Manager entry.

14 13 P a g e 20. Click on Trust when the below screen appears. 21. Place a checkmark next to the Do not show checkbox displayed below, then click Run. 22. The pop-up window should now look like this:

15 14 P a g e 23. Click Preferences in the upper right corner of the Remote Access Portal. 24. Click the Advanced tab. 25. Click Configure Remote SSO. 26. Choose the CitrixProdSSO option by placing a dot in the radio button, then click Configure

16 15 P a g e 27. Input your Universal password into the Password field, and then click Save Changes. 28. Click Home to return to the list of Web Bookmarks. 29. Click the application that you would like to launch. 30. Click Trust when the window below appears.

If you only see a white screen like the following picture, and then you are returned back to the list of Web Bookmarks, then proceed to the next step. 33. From the Safari menu in the upper left corner of the screen, click on Preferences.

18 17 P a g e 34. Click on the Advanced tab, then place a checkmark next to the option labeled Show Develop menu in menu bar. 35. From the Develop menu in Safari, click Empty Caches. 36. Try to launch the application again from the list of Web Bookmarks. It may take a few tries, but you should now be able to launch your application. If you are having any trouble launching applications, Google Chrome may work in some cases, but it is not fully supported.
