2 Portsmouth Cultural Trust is a registered charity that manages The Guildhall, an iconic arts, music and entertainment venue located in the city of Portsmouth. Since 1890 this historic Grade II Listed building has been central to Portsmouth life. As a charity we provide many free or subsidised events throughout the year so that everyone has the opportunity to experience the many benefits engaging with music and the arts can bring. 4 Our audience and public reach We have a reputation for providing first-class entertainment with approximately 50% of our audience coming from outside of Portsmouth, with many regular users coming from Southampton, the M3 and A3 arterial roads and the A27 towards Worthing and Brighton. Our dedicated marketing team extensively promotes all our events and we have excellent relationships with local, regional and national media. In 2014/15: 265,000 visitors from across the southern region visited the Guildhall and we have ambitions to double this number over the next few years. 772 events were held at the Guildhall 483,273 unique visits to our website We had around 55,000 subscribers to our monthly e-newsletter We distributed 30,000 copies of our tri-annual What s on Brochure to businesses and Guildhall Members in the local region 5,757 Facebook followers & 9,521 Twitter followers 3,545 students engaged in Guildhall Participate

9 What s On Brochure Sponsorship Three times a year we print our What s On brochure. This lists our upcoming concerts and events for the season and is circulated to: 55,000 database contacts via every month 10,000 hard copies delivered to Guildhall Members and local businesses in Portsmouth, Isle of Wight, Fareham, Southampton, Chichester and surrounding areas every season This is a simple but excellent way to increase brand awareness with the opportunity to sponsor for a season or the year. Not only will your branding be on the brochure but there is also an opportunity for you to include a voucher or special offer to attract new business. Ticket Sponsorship Corporate branding on all our printed tickets for a year gives you a unique opportunity to reach a captive audience. 10 Learning & Participation Programmes Guildhall Participate, our Learning and Participation programme exists to create opportunities for everyone to get involved in music, heritage and the arts. Our main focus is to engage with people who do not currently come to our venue due to social, cultural, financial or physical reasons, particularly in the local areas around The Guildhall. The Learning & Participation Programme is made up of talks, workshops, events, festivals and training. Highlights that are available for sponsorship include: Get into Music A programme developed by Portsmouth Cultural Trust, in partnership with Creative and Cultural Skills and Creative Choices and supported by UK Music, aimed at providing young people with knowledge and experience in the technical and backstage music industry. Guildhall Music Academy Provides opportunities for children, especially from disadvantaged backgrounds, to engage with music and learn an instrument. The Academy compliments classical music provision provided at schools and concentrates on rock and pop, jazz and music from different cultures around the world in a relaxed environment.
