The committee's Terms of reference are to ensure that the interests of the UK are represented in international standardization activities in the field of application through participation in the work of ISO/TC69/SC1 and its working groups. SS/1 is responsible for nominating and briefing UK experts to attend meetings of ISO/TC69/SC1 and monitoring the work, collating public comment and voting on the documents that they produce. The committee's Terms of Reference are to ensure that the collective interests of UK business organizations are represented in international and Europeans standardization projects on this subject. In particular, MS/6 is responsible for monitoring the work of ISO/TC69/SC7, ISO/TC69/SC8 and other relevant ISO/TC69 Sub- Committees, plus their working groups, collating public comment, and voting, on documents prepared by the committee.
