2 Home Page Details Featured Content Area To add visual interest when users first come to the site and to promote important content, Results Direct recommends adding a featured content area that would allow PMMI to feature different events, products, news or other items. The area could contain images, styled text, and hypertext. When a user clicks on one of the arrows on the left or right, the next piece of featured content appears. PMMI could feature as few or as many items as they would like. Upcoming Events Lists upcoming events and allows users to choose between a calendar grid or a list of events. This area also maintains the Add Events to Calendar functionality of the current PMMI site. Latest News and Most Popular Content changes depending on which tab a user clicks. Latest News would feature a list of a pre-determined number of Press Releases or other types of content sorted in reverse chronological order. 20 Interior Detail Page Details An interior detail page is a static page that displays a single content item. Interior detail pages have the ability to have a related content or recommended resources area or a combination of both. Related Content allows PMMI to relate one piece of content to another manually. In this example, PMMI would go to the content item for the press release PMMI Adds 16 Companies to Membership and choose one or more than one content items that relate to that press release. Those content items would then appear in the box in the left hand column. Recommend Resources automatically finds other content items based on PMMI s classification scheme. All interior pages feature the breadcrumb trail to allow users to orient themselves to where they are on the site, the ability to print the page in a print-friendly format and the ability to share the page s content through and social networking sites. 20
