28 Greece at the Epicenter of Regional Energy Flows Electricity interconnections to all neighbouring countries allow for sizeable flows from North (Bulgaria, Romania) to South (Greece), from East to West and West to East (Greece to Turkey) and from South to North (Greece to Albania) and from East to West (Greece to Italy) Greece has three (3) gas gates (a) The Greek-Turkish interconnector carries Azeri and Turkish gas to Greece (b) The Russian built main gas pipeline brings gas from Russia to Greece via Bulgaria (c) The LNG terminal at Revithoussa brings in gas from Algeria and elsewhere The coal terminal at Milaki allows steam coal imports largely used by industry The Thessaloniki Skopje oil pipeline provides for crude and oil products movement from Thessaloniki to the OKTA refinery in FYROM Oil terminal and corresponding oil storage facilities in Aspropyrgos, Elefsis, Agioi Theodori (Corinth) and Thessaloniki allow crude and oil product imports and exports. Secondary oil terminals in Crete, Rhodes, Corfu and elsewhere
